You can walk away from an order and sign up at Tesla.com for a different vehicle. If you already have your car, carmax and a myriad of other places will still buy it. You’re hardly trapped.
Yeah I know. I'm was just frustrated and venting a bit. Although I am going to test drive a BMW i4 electric today just in case.

I've been borrowing a family members extra car for the past 7 months. And feeling kind of uncomfortable about it. And so far it's like everything that can possibly delay my car has delayed it. Just frustrating.

It is likely to be software and done OTA.
Unfortunately that also falls under the category of the dealership being completely incapable of doing and needing your car for a month.

Just picked up my "fully" updated car from the dealer yesterday with zero updates! Ford can't even push the smallest of updates to cars correctly, I certainly don't trust them with a serious recall like this.

Your link is fake news (read the rest before you roll your eyes and block me lol). They say CNBC was the first to report this recall. I disagree. It was reported here like 12 hours before CNBC reported it ?

In all seriousness, I hope that all it takes is a software update. I'm itching for my car!

That's a bit presumptive. You may drive your car and just be fine till you schedule your work when they have the parts or what they need. Sky is not falling, hopefully now fixing before it is any kind of issue for the most of us.
The dealers can't even install a simple update. I can say with 100% certainty that not a single dealership in my area will have someone with the knowledge to fix this issue when I ask about it.

I've had very honest conversations with several dealers now. The answer is always they don't know. I don't yell at them or anything. I just hate Ford for not preparing them for this car.

Funniest things I've read today:

- "My car is part of the recall" - Every Mach-E up to 5/24/22 is at this point. While they may all be, no one knows.

- Discussion of removing and replacing the battery pack, when no one knows if the fix is software, hardware, or both.

- "I just looked up my car and" - Stop wasting your time. Life is too short to do such unproductive things. Relax.

Mach-E’s high-voltage battery main contactors caused by DC fast charging and repeated open pedal events.

Open pedal events? That's the best thing about the Mach E. So that doesn't sound good. Maybe the 5 sec issue turns into speed limited to 59 mph o_O

Never said it wasn't. Just making fun at the comments people are making. Looking up VINs when they haven't narrowed down the VIN list from 100,000 to 49,000 as an example. Stupid waste of time.

You're in a tough spot. Sorry for that. We took delivery 4 weeks ago on our 2022. If we hadn't, I'd be very annoyed too.
