Anyone knows if cars sold in the EU are impacted?
Sorry, US Federal regulations regarding disclosure and fines related to highway safety wouldn't apply. So far, this Forum has only disclosed a Ford memo to US dealers. Look to your dealer or govt. or Ford EU for info. Highly likely that the "problem" exists for MME produced on the same Cuautitlan Assembly line but sent to non-US markets.

So is this site legit to look up if your car is in the recall? I checked both my premium and GTPE and it appears both have the recall. Not really worried about it......was just curious.
Yes and no. It is a proper website, but currently, every car manufactured before the cutoff date is covered by the notice of recall (see post #1). Until Ford publishes the actual recall, you won't get better information from that site. Your actual vehicle may, or may not be in the recall

They did say certain modules do not always update and it could take days to complete after spending days figuring out if it's even needed for your vehicle.
Can you clarify this sentence? I don’t get it.

My build date was May 27, 2020 and my dealer had been notified of a potential delivery the 3rd week of July. I guess that all goes in the toiletnow

Here's the problem with your statement. You are ASSUMING that the dealership, which has to be certified to sell EVs, didn't send techs to school so that the techs could be certified to service EVs. You're assuming that every issue with doing work on EVs is Ford's fault, not the tech who can't read the damn instructions and follow them exactly as written.

My dealership is on top of EVs and still has issues. Mostly Ford's fault, some does rest with the dealer though.

Of course some rests with the dealer but when Ford doesn't make these a priority then why would the dealers care? Ford doesn't know why their OTA's are freezing up and not working with so many people. Ford doesn't know why updates are failing when dealerships try to do it. What is the service tech who went to get certified on these supposed to do? I guarantee the certification process didn't involve running the same update 5 times over a 5 day span and it failing halfway through every time.

The root cause of all the problems with OTA's has been that Ford doesn't know how to distribute these updates properly and they are putting it on the customer and the dealers to just figure it out.
These guys are auto mechanics. They aren't coders. They aren't going to be able to answer why I'm getting push notifications to update my car and then my car has no update for a month straight. Ford needs to figure that out. Ford never will.

As far as the actual dealerships? They absolutely despise the electric cars. Of the 3 I've dealt with only 1 wasn't visibly mad at me for bringing my car there.

I have driven over 9,000 miles with my 2021 including long trips. I would take it unless you've had warning messages.
I've had it happen already and there are no warning messages. I parked and came back and it was done.

This is against the law.
Only if they execute the sale by delivering to the customer before finalizing the recall. So no, it’s not illegal. Customer can break the contract and not be stuck with a car they don’t have possession of if the dealership holds it too long without delivering.

It's finally here! This is the recall for the HVBJB issues people have been having. Note this is an ADVANCE NOTICE recall meaning no fix is available but Ford has identified a problem! It is safe to continue driving your car in my opinion.

thanks for posting the notice!
I've forwarded to my local Dealership as a heads up so they can be sure to line up parts and training as soon as available to get in front of the recall requests.

Pretty certain the way this plays out is Ford "*HOPES* its a software issue. They will try a software fix that decreases the likelyhood of the *HARDWARE* issue. But at the end of the day this is a mechanical problem (exacerbated by software) that will cost a insane amount to fix all of them. So hail mary is the play. But in case it's not, they have bought themselves a few months to figure it out for sure.

My guess is they will handle this like the GM Bolt recall. First with a temporary software fix that limits power applied to all cars via OTA or dealer, then eventually with a replacement part and software update that restores full power after the replacement.

It will probably be quite a few months before all Mach-E’s are able to have their HVBJBs replaced. We will all be in for a wait…
Yes! So we can temporarily not experience a 5 second limit since performance will be tuned to some level below the level of the 4X Premium. ?? I am all over that! ??

At least for options, your dealer should honor the Apr from your order date.
I asked the dealer this already and he said "Unfortunately, the APR is set on the month you take delivery"
