Well Ford do have history of a recall for a recallPretty certain the way this plays out is Ford "*HOPES* its a software issue. They will try a software fix that decreases the likelyhood of the *HARDWARE* issue. But at the end of the day this is a mechanical problem (exacerbated by software) that will cost a insane amount to fix all of them. So hail mary is the play. But in case it's not, they have bought themselves a few months to figure it out for sure.
My mach-e replaced my Focus RS that I got rid off not only because it failed to live up to my expectations but also due to not wanting to deal to with all of the potential ticking time bomb long term reliability issues of the recalled engine and its numerous band aid fixes.
Oh well out of the frying pan into the fire lol, I will see how all this plays out but chances of me getting another Ford in my future where pretty much already sitting at 0% this certainly isn't going to be changing my mind.
