Having a reverse alarm is not a bad idea but a beeper isn’t the best choice.
My neighbor’s RAV4 has a white noise generator that is a much better solution.
Is there a white noise alternative that can replace the beeper?

No and every manufacturer has its own unique noise. Toyota's is super freaking loud and annoying. It is hilariously bad when people that can't park try 5 times to get into a spot, forward, backward, forward, backward, the sound is sooooo loud.

Pretty certain this is something that *could* be made; but no one has that I'm aware of. You can certainly unplug the noise maker and using a resistor makes the dash light go away. So instead you'd simply source power from the wires presenting the same resistance and power a noisemaker of your own to generate whatever sound.

My neighbor's Jaguar I-Pace which costs nearly the same as my MME GTPE makes the exact same back up beeping noise. It's just a manufacturers choice in differentiating from the Tesla's and rest of the pack.

I never did look into if the driving white noise and back up beeping comes from different speakers. If it does, than ideally you can highjack the signal prolly and transmit your own.

My wife has a RAV4 Prime. That screeching is not white noise, it's more like the sound of a cat being tortured. It's definitely not better than the MME's backup sound, IMO.

It doesn't. Both sounds come from the speaker in the front. There's also a rear speaker, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Personally, I like the backup beep on the Mach-E.
I like that I have cover for liability if some dummy says they didn’t hear my car, people who turn it off are just asking for trouble

I don't think they're installing a rear speaker anymore. This weekend I installed a trailer hitch, and no rear speaker on my car built mid May '22.

That makes sense since they apparently didn’t end up using it.

then that's quite odd that rear is useless.

Maybe someone who's good at program can program a ras pie to intercept the signal. just an idea as i'm not a programer, but have speaker cables go into a rasp pi. then back out to speaker. If we can tap into a signal, say reverse lights, or something like that, then rasp pie play sound file, instead of the beeping noise.

anyone good with programing and ras pies, chime in please.

I prefer the backup beep on the Polestar, more modern improvement over the "dumptruck" beep of the Ford.
