I disagree I think it will show grey bars its just different. It will show them for other reasons like temperature of battery being too high/low or a low state of charge. At 5% SoC you do not get full power output in the Mach E, not even close. I'm pretty sure we'll see the grey bars for situations like that. Time will tell.
Ok, yes, granted a 5% SOC will result in reduced output, in fact, I believe I’ve found the reduction in power threshold to be at approx. 25-30% based on various Dragy runs at various SOC and ambient temps. That said, the reduction is barely perceptible in the 4X, nothing like GTs get.

And when I say barely perceptible, I mean a 1/4 mile trap speed of 101.5mph @ 30% SOC vs. 103.4mph @ 85% SOC.

It would be the equivalent of a tachometer. I’d want it so long as we don’t get any grey bars. If we would, I’d rather not see it!
More like a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) gauge. It’ll show high flow rate at high pedal angles, and very low flow rate at low angles. ??

Great job @breeves002 on using your noodle to figure this out. Now we can hear bellyaching from non-GT owners too. ??

Naturally this doesn't take into account the different environmental factors that everyone can experience but on my GTPE bars will start to appear at around 75% charge and as I get down to around 50% you can be down to around 7/8th of full power and sometimes less.

Nah, a vacuum gauge, in the planets aligned perfect scenario you get 0” of Hg, any other time - negative numbers baby! ?

The dashed grey bars are very useful as it shows the maximum potential power you have so it is good to see how it is impacted as the battery is discharged / ambient temps etc. It really should be standard on all trims and made much larger not microscopic like it is now.

What you really don't want to see if the party pooper solid grey bar that forces you to wait x seconds for it to clear that is the GT /GTPE specialty :(
Honestly, I think it would be great if Ford made a setting for GTs (and everyone) that could allow people to toggle the grey bars on and off. Agreed that this information is often needed, but on many other occasions, it simply isn't and it puts a limitation in your face that you had no intention of reaching that day.

In other words, if you only planned to use 6/10s of power on a drive or drive even more leisurely, do you really need to be told the car is only capable of 8/10 power on that particular occasion?

I could see them letting you toggle it on and off but I doubt they'd let you just turn the jail bars off.

Rice mode! Shows full power when it's 50% reduction!

Was that car updated with BlueCruise? I think that updated IPC software is what makes it work.
Yeah, I got BlueCruise working in March and it was April when I tried to enable the power meter without success. I don't think there's been an IPC update since then, but I'll give it another shot.

For a lot of people probably not but if you driving down some back road and need to overtake with an EV you just can't assume the power you had at 90% is what you are going to get if you try the same at 50%.

Of course due to the power limitations of the GTPE it has become check power meter for what it thinks I will get, mirror, signal, maneuver, followed by recheck power meter to see what I actually got as it may decide to go solid grey which will always set the power limit even lower. Overtakes become plan for the worst and be pleasantly surprised with the best ?

It is also not just the power side that is very useful as it also shows when you are in regen and what %. I live in a very hilly area so use whisper mode as Ford does not let me independently control the amount of lift off regen :(. In whisper mode I get enough to regen all the way down a hill but also maintain the speed limit, any other mode and the regen is too high that I am forced to drive down the hill, so a trip to the shops at the bottom of the hills in whisper can result in a trip result of anywhere from 14 m/kw to 20 m/kw in the other drive modes I get half that.

Of course It doesn't matter what mode I use for the return uphill trip as I get 2 m/kw at best regardless lol

Video showing power meter enabled on 2022 premium:

nice, but what I REALLY want to see is actual kW number being output/regen..... wouldn't it be COOL if we could customize dashboard like you can with CarScanner app?! display whatever datastream(s) you wanted.

Even if most of the display was restricted, and just a couple specific areas could be customized to show Power, and maybe a couple specific temps?!
