I know, right? I suggested this to Emannuel and he got all pissy, telling me that this was not the proper procedure they must follow in the instructions.They could have always updated the modules again in the vehicle history if they wanted to. I think the service techs just don't like that we know more about the cars than they do because it's intimidating. Ford's not talking to them, and they're not used to having to talk with Ford like this is my guess.
So this dealer was flummoxed because the instructions allegedly didn't cover my edge case of the software already on the car -- and @Neil4Real's dealer did the opposite, not reading the Service Manual before clearing his codes and telling him "it's fixed!!"
