Just received my vehicle back from service trying to apply the WACM update but the issue is not resolved. Would like to check which updates are available for my vehicle again if you can help. Thanks! 3FMTK3RM2NMA16229

[Service Manager] Uh-huh. Yup. Everything. I swear...you're good to go.
Nope, they got all of them. Really.
.....why are you lookin' at me like that.....the tech said he did all of them. I believe him...

...well he might have missed a couple...

Well all those updates for the PCM, SOBDMC, BECM, SOBDM, and SOBDMB are essentially the recall. So nope. They didn't do them.

But if they signed that off on your paperwork you should call and point it out to them.

Mike
Mike, I took my car to a different dealer for service and asked them to apply the updates for the contactor recall plus the WACM for issues with my pixel 6 charging. They said the contactor updates were not available for my car yet and all applicable updates had already been installed.

So are the updates you show available in FDRS 100% for my car? Or are two different dealers straight up lying?

So as of this evening this is what I'm seeing:

You have no other updates relating to the recall or battery management. I see in the logs where the procedure for the FSA 22S41 recall was looked up in PTS today, along with tail light removal and poor wireless charging performance topics.

Others have reported that they got the recall updates as an OTA.

I had the recall for the welded contactor issue performed by a dealership that was doing my glass recall and the 10k service at the same time, but the recall notice hasn't dropped off my FordPass yet. I think that takes a while to go through the system.

I had the recall patch completed (I hope). Can someone pull mine to verify?

Would have been nice of them to do that OBCC while they were in there. Better charge curve.

Thanks, I really appreciate you looking this up. The taillight leaking TSB is why I took the car in to the dealer. I guess the recall software was installed either by one of the dealers or OTA. Either way, I'm happy to have the car back.

7 Jul '21 build date. Depending on who you talk to it's possible your car was one of the first "Job 2" cars. But I'll leave it to the smart guys to debate whether it was actually the 7th or not.

Thanks, Mike. Should the other items eventually be pushed via OTA?

In theory they all can be updated via OTA (except the WACM).

The question for most people is when will they.

The schedule for given module updates via OTA is not published (not externally anyway).

So if you're having problems with your Fordpass on your phone not always connecting to your car via Bluetooth as an example you may want to let the service department know (RFA). If your seats don't move to the correct setting when you use your key, or they sometimes go to a setting for another driver in your household you might mention that as well (DSM). If your HVAC doesn't maintain it's settings across multiple engine starts, you may want to ask about that (HVAC). Or your iPhone isn't charging properly but gets very warm (WACM). And if you're concerned about your charging at a DCFC costing you more to charge above 80% or have other charging concerns I'd ask to have that looked at (OBCC).

Some issues just don't get attention unless somebody says something.... ? ?‍♂

Just so you're aware, aside from recalls, many dealers do not completely update vehicles prior to turning them over to the customers at the time of sale.

You may want to have a word with your salesman ahead of time if you'd like the non-recall items on this list addressed at the time they are doing the recall programming prior to your taking delivery.

Hi. Can anyone check my VIN please WF0TR1RM4MMA30003 I’ve just got the Powertrain malfunction message and would like to know if it’s serious. I’m on holiday with the car at the moment, and a bit worried about getting stranded. Thanks in advance! I’ve had the recent recall done too.
