Shouldn't that trip be live streamed on YouTube to the millions of people following this thread?

I predict he kicked the Grapevine's ass.

Edit: and then ate a couple tacos.

Ugh, so not only did the dealer not disclose (until I showed them) that a body shop painted the rear trim (due to a "scratch") they left me this gift on the front. The rear trim can be replaced, this will be another matter- dealing with the PPF place, body shop and DMV for new HOV stickers. I guess I can delete that front plate mount now, maybe. :( ? ? ?

This HVBJB is a gift that keeps on giving thanks to dealer service. Death by a thousand cuts.

Mach N Cheese did well to get through the dealer service in a short amount of time.

Into stationary objects sure. :p

I'm just ? at this point. Looks to me like, with the sensors etc, that most likely something else was used to strike my car. The body shop they used was moving it around at all hours of the night, 2 am, midnight, 4 am, parking it on the street a block away, etc. I think most likely they damaged the front, the dealer isn't sure on the rear.

But to not tell the customer before you have the trim painted, part of which had PPF they painted over?

?
You should be getting an attorney at this point.

OKAY! So I am here with a quick note to report that the new, improved, more robust Mach N Cheese has safely conquered the mountains of the Grapevine as well as CA-152, and we are all safely home.

EV Mountain Terrain Validation Test: PASSED.

Trip home was completely uneventful, except for the usual EA shenanigans with two of four chargers kaput at one stop. But what are you gonna do. I chatted with a new EQS owner while waiting, and I decided his car was uglier but more reliable. He just shook his head slightly as I briefly recounted our "experience".

I didn't notice any difference in the car (except for it not failing!) -- I think I had less jail bars for less of a period of time on the highway, but again, I was being bombarded with Blippi and other equally annoying kids music for 6 hours so it was tough to do a lot of thermal benchmarking.

I'm in the end thankful that the dealer got my car done so fast and without any damage. I think I'm still missing the paperwork from them, gotta follow-up on that.

I'll work on the live stream and crowdsourced music selection for our next, hopefully more enjoyable roadtrip!

Thanks everyone for following along at home.

Given the myriad variables, PRNGs, and choice of children's music, I'm not sure your one-off test result is relevant.

Can you do this again, and again, several more times? Home to Taco Stand to Home to Taco Stand to...

Thank you.

I had mine done this morning too. Dealer also did Software Update 2.8.2 (I have a Job 2 GTPE). Though they assured me they did both updates, only 2.8.2 is showing up as "Update Successful" in the App, and on the update screen in the car. Not seeing evidence of 22S41 recall update being done at all. Are you seeing confirmation of the 22S41 recall update on your App? Maybe something specific about this fix that doesn't reflect as a normal update?
Interesting. I had my car updated Wednesday and the paperwork I received said that the update was performed but I cannot find notice of it in the Ford app or in the car's software.

That makes me feel better- I was at the dealer waiting today and it took them almost 3 hours total- I could see them working with it. I had the message on my app that the first update, 2.8.2, was completed after the first hour, so I had no reason to doubt they were working on the recall update for the next hour- just found it odd that I didn’t see anything about it in the app. Hopefully some others who got the update will weigh in as well.
