yes 2.4km/kwh is the least, even in the winter I used to get 3.5km/kwh... in summer my avg is around 4.8km/kwh
2.4 to 2.5 is about our road trip average in our GT if we are taking it easy. ~2.2 if we are pushing the speed a bit. This is in the summer. 1.8 to 2.0 in the winter on longer trips.

I wasn’t even pushing it going to and from Washington in May (mostly stayed with the speed limit going up, way less coming back due to snow and summer tires) and pretty much got 2.1-2.2 mi/KWh for the trip. 😊🐩

Regarding large SUVs, I consider a Tahoe a full-size (it’s just a stretched version of my K/5) and an Expedition or Suburban a large one. Just my opinion. 🤔🐩

Hmmm, this is really interesting. Not surprising I guess as you have the extended battery, more weight and hence less overall efficiency.

I think these car makers are giving people what they want, basically big hatchbacks/small crossovers with giant batteries, but it's the wrong way to approach range if you care about efficiency.

Not sure about that presence-detecting liftgate. I enjoy standing behind my MME and admiring it without getting clocked in the gut.
I love the Kia Smart LiftGate (same system) when my hands are full and making a kicking motion might unbalance me - but I lent my friend my Telluride and he got his face smacked by the liftgate as he was cleaning the rear wiper.

That is exceptionally good mileage for a large SUV. Not sure I have ever seen one that high. My ICE gets 15mpg. That is also the non-member pricing for EA, you can cut it by 12 cents per kWhr with a $4/mo. membership. Then you ignored any benefits from home charging (cheaper) and hotel charging (potentially free).
these are excellent points. The issue is that you think the facts matter. :)

What's under the hood? Cannot find any pics with the hood up.

There are plenty of large SUVs with 30mpg and better on highway. The difference between EV and ICE vehicles is that EV efficiency drops like a brick at highway speeds, while for ICE the engine works at optimal RPM.
Which ones? I looked up a few and the best I saw were the diesel options but they were around 23-24 (rated - likely worse in the real world).

Heck, before we got our Mach-e my wife had a Mini Cooper Countryman and that only got 28-29 on the highway.

Edit: Best I see is 26mpg highway, and those are on the smaller side for a full sized SUV.

The last time we were driving in Murano, which had I think 29mpg on sticker, but in reality measured 31mpg. It would have been even better if we didn't have two dogs and full trunk of stuff.
Btw, Edmunds is listing around 20 SUVs that have over 30mpg on highway, all bigger than MME.

I will agree that some smaller SUVs can get there (though we had a Murano ~4 years ago and never got better than 24mpg). However, this post was about Large, full sized SUVs. 3 row, body-on-frame. The big boys.

It may depend on who you ask, but we base it on carry capacity more than physical size. Anything with 3rd row seating is considered a large SUV.
I have a Highlander Hybrid with a third-row. It is classified as a mid-size SUV. Also the third row is not what I would exactly call comfortable for most people. I’m pretty short at 5’1” and I find it cramped. Most of the time we leave it folded down to maximize cargo capacity. And the way we drive, it gets between 24 and 25 MPG.
