I am beyond frustrated with Ford right now. They have had my MME 2021 job 1 Premium AWD with extended range battery for FOUR DAYS this time around and can’t get the lights to work! I brought my MME to Lakeland Ford in the spring when I first noticed they weren’t working and they couldn’t get them to come on. I have had it in the local Ford dealership in upstate NY twice now and they can’t get them to work. Ford needs to get their sh*t together! When I stopped in today, the hood was up and it looks liked they were jumping the 12 volt battery again. They also had to do this a couple of days ago when they arrived to find the battery dead. Am I now going to have to worry that when I do get it back, the 12 volt battery is going to conk out on me?? I am beyond frustrated about this!

If they’re doing software updates, it’s required to have a charger on the 12V battery. You should be glad they have it on there!

Which Dealer, Malone, Masina or Dannamorra? Malone is EV certified.

Are we talking about the pony image projected to the ground when you have the mirror autofold feature on? LOL, I always thought it is a nice gimmick. But too bad, I disabled the autofold feature. I don't like mirrors folding all the time. Got stuck during freezing winter time.

My wife likes the pony so my trick is to go out to the garage and unplug a few minutes before I take her to work. That action wakes the car. In general my Mach goes to sleep and the Pony does not illuminate. No big deal for me but I can understand your frustration.

Malone. That is where I bought my MME. Brought it in Tuesday morning for the 20,000 mile checkup and to have them take another stab at fixing my pony lights. They have had multiple calls in to the Ford hotline and it is now going to be there for the weekend. I know it’s not a huge issue, but if they can’t figure out something like that, what happens if I get the dreaded stop immediately message about the battery? Going to Florida soon and am not sure I want to take the trip with it.

Good to know! I know when I got the last “Electrical System Drain Service Required” message, it was 9 pm while they had it, so was wondering why it would be draining overnight. They told me the next day that the battery had died overnight, so they had to charge it. Now (4 days after they got it) I just got a message saying “Your Vehicle is in Deep Sleep Mode and connectivity is temporarily”. Message was cut off, but the car is obviously not awake.

While I agree the novelty of the pony puddle lights is cool, they really are not worth getting worked up about.
I totally agree; I guess what bothers me the most is that for this seemingly minor issue, they just can’t get it figured out despite 3 trips to different dealerships in Florida and New York.

I find after each folding, I have to readjust my driver side mirror. I've never had the feature before and got along fine without it. It never occurred to me to disable it. Gonna do that for sure.

Is it just the puddle lights that aren't coming on or is it all of the "Welcome" lights?

I had no problem with the Welcome lights on my 2021 MME but traded that car for a 2022 MME a couple of weeks ago and the Welcome lights on the new one were unreliable. For some reason their reliability seemed to improve once I turned off the car's Hotspot, which I didn't use anyway. Reliability also seemed to improve when I removed the Android Widget for Mach-E from my phone. I'm not saying either of these things actually made a difference but my impression is that they did. I have not set up my car to use PAAK and I've been keeping both fobs in Faraday bags to rule out proximity as a contributing factor. Now the Welcome lights work reliably for roughly 24 hours after I shut the car off. Beyond that they don't work at all until I start and shut-off the car again.
