What makes you say this? As far as I can tell, those of us that used the MachDrop program haven't heard anything about build dates yet.
My bad. I keep forgetting @jhalkias was able to convert to a First Edition before the Mach Drop, not during it.

Just got my email from for saying that my Mach-e has been scheduled to be built during the week of December 21, 2020. Not sure how to feel since that means I won't get the vehicle until 2021.

Edit: For Context I reserved the Mach-E 1am the night after the Mach-e Reveal (11/18/19). My reservation number is 10007841, and I initially reserved a RWD Select Model, placed an order for the select with Technology package and I changed my order to the premium when ford did the price reduction (6/25/20). I had hoped that by upgrading to the Premium that I could have got the car in December. I'm still happy that I'll get the car by the end of January. I'm in Georgia and my dealership is in a suburb of Atlanta.
Same--My Mach-E is scheduled for production the week of December 21. It's a short week--Christmas is that Friday. Premium-AWD--Red

On prediction spread sheets here is an interest test point. My Dec 21 week Premium build date has 06xxx as last vin numbers. Assuming vin are sequential, this is a rough estimate of production up to Christmas; ie, two months worth of production. Also curious there are only 5 digits in last vin position unlike earlier information on vin decoder that showed 6. Does that mean 99999 are max Mache first generation ? Or are these as meaningless as order numbers and times turned out to be with regard to build dates ?

VINs are not built sequentially

Maybe you are on to something. My build week is 11/16 with a VIN#02XXX. I know my dealer's FCTP is being built the week before mine. That would mean they plan to produce close to 5k before the end of the year depending on how high or low your 06XXX number is.

My VIN starts with 08XXX and I have a build date of November 30, so I don't think the VINs determine build date.

Another thing to consider is when the dealership accepted the order.

I placed my order on 6/27/20 and my dealer finally accepted it 7/15/20. I didn't give a thought but am wondering if that factored into my build week of 12/7/20. I have a Rapid Red FE and from NY. VIN is 07XXX

I did ping my dealer after I placed the order to make sure he saw it was in the system. Still took them about a week to confirm.

42 Mustang Mach-E's available on cars.com, many with VIN # (Lol). If ordering doesn't work out, go pick up one of those... twist of the knife!

super busy busy season right now. Yep, they are building trying to help with Mache shipments. Trying to get them in order to get them out in LARGE amounts which is quicker. If someone order in west Virginia first and then the second was Cali it would not make sense to do it that way.

With covid protocol with shipping, it also has put a strain on requirements manpower and rules.

Once the initial rush settles down then when you order the car will be sent to a regional area then send out from there. People are forgetting this is not like a normal order car that the dealer always gets 10 to 30 of a month on a rotating schedule.

It has always been explained like the heart pumping blood in your veins. Has to start at the main hub and spread out to the smallest vein. If they just went ok by right when your order who first thing how long the delay would be doing it that way. well, we got one going to Maine him first then have to come all the way back to Texas.

Your wait for the mache would be wayyyyyyyyyy longer folks.

I have now even moved my Mache to not get built tell the December 21st week. I want my tax credit for next year.

Also, they will be shutting down for Xmas and new years also.

I noticed those the other day - why even bother, or do they really have allocations they're pre-emptively trying to sell?

Probably just trying to drive interest.
