The Mach E will be seen at every light soon, I disagree on the heap of shit but each to their own, the Mach E wins in the looks war and quality of interior but the Tesla wins in the technology stability and reliability area, it's faster too, I am a guy who frequently see the warning " your top speed will be limited" on his dashboard, I don't think anyone here had seen that warning on their screen, so having 40 extra mph is always great, now before my issue was the price difference, now that's not an issue anymore pending the $7500 final updates.

Range wise, my cousin has a MYP, he get about 280 miles per charge, I get about 240 if we both drive like each others, so both cars are losing range anyway.
Fair enough. My MYP test drives have left me very unimpressed, only the acceleration is intriguing. As for top speed, yes, Tesla let’s it eat to 155mph or 135mph for the reg dual motor LR. I’ve seen our 4X pegged a few times at 113mph and I’m the fool posting all of the Dragy 1/4 mile runs of it in other threads. So I hear ya.

Same here - waiting on a '22 Select w/ C/T option.

If Ford keeps sending me the every 6 weeks email, does that mean I will be FORCED to accept a '23 AND change colors because my color choice is no longer offered for '23 ?

I specifically ordered the Select w/ C/T in Ice Blue Silver.
I ordered the same color as you did! Not obligated to buy. But yes, if you don’t get a production date for the 2022, then it will be a ā€˜23 and a different color. Unless you don’t buy it. But, maybe you get an option to change the build I’m just not sure on that part… may get some incentive from Ford for the change to a ā€˜23. For me, I would need to change to a premium AWD ext range. Cost increase and all.

This might be of interest to you (from dealer communications):

BOOM!

Good thing I get A-Plan, but I'm also not buying a 2023. Got my 2022 in May after driving a 2023 for 10 1/2 months. The only way I'm buying again is if there was a 2022 on the lot near the end of this year, same as what I have, dealer was taking A-Plan and I could flip my 2022. Highly unlikely.
22'MY converted orders will be excepted. So you can still get X-plan if you have a '22 order conversion:

For those customers who planned to use X-Plan on their 22MY order, we will have an exception process in place to allow the use of X-Plan on 23MY. This exception process will be dependent on the customer being eligible for the 23MY Mustang Mach-E Transition Customer Satisfaction Private Offer. Dealers should order as A or Z plan to display X- Plan pricing for ā€œX-Plan alternative pgmā€ customers.

So if you change your build, you don't get price protection is that correct ?

I am hanging onto my '22 order for the low interest rate & incentive.

Not happy at this moment - will hang in there until I hear from Ford.

Ah, yes the transitional cash offer that Ford is doing for their F150L extended reservation holders - basically rebate at time of delivery to drop 2023 pricing to 2022.

- Pro 2 weeks ago sold out.
- XLT about to sell out.

Price protection doesn't apply to '22 to '23 conversion. The price difference will be handled by the private offer (rebate). Price protection is for when the invoice price changes mid-model-year rather than a new model year.

Between price protection, X-Plan, options rebate, and full tax credit, starting to feel like I stole my 2022.
Yup. Got our 2022 net for our 21's price, A-Plan, and 0.9%.

No I would think not…and I seriously doubt being allowed to change the build, just hoped. By default would get a new color; the price will be about the same for select 23 no ct package as the select 22 with ct package I think?

How does the private offer work if there are any spec changes to the order? If I have a Select ordered, but I want to change to a Premium due to the 23 Select losing features, do I get the 22 Premium price?

We don't know what the private offers will be yet. Last year they were $750 for everyone across the board, not sure if they will be model-specific this year or not. I'm assuming the '23 private offer will be much more substantial this year to cover the much larger increase. Your new price will be the '23 Premium price minus the private offer. '22 prices don't matter and won't be used anymore.

Not even remotely surprised.

1. Pricing has not kept up with inflation the last 2 years.

2. Pricing has not kept up with demand the last 2 years

3. New law extending $7500 means they don’t need to drop the price yet

4. this finally gives Ford some ROOM.**

**4 is probably the smartest reason to raise the price significantly. Ford hasn’t figured out where to price this car yet based on supply. Usually MSRP is the high ā€œstupid price no one pays.ā€ And it gives them flexibility to lower the price as needed (discounts, rebates, etc.)

So lesson for anyone ordering. If you don’t want to pay MSRP, negotiate a better price (like we have for the 48 of the last 50 years, remember that?).

And if you can’t get a better price or a price you’re willing to pay…… wait or buy something else are your only choices.

But until the extra $3 trillion of government money sitting in bank accounts right now gets spent….. get used to high prices. It’s gonna take years to normalize.

Maybe so. But, I just priced ours again since our 7-day offer had expired and now Driveway came back with $60,400. Still great but not quite as crazy. Did you run the value with your VIN? I’ve seen up to $1000 variation between VIN and Plates. Which makes no sense because the Plates get them the VIN ??ā€ā™‚
Yup - I ran it with the VIN

Well aware of private offers for the F150L group but the MME - are you saying that since the models are changing for 2023, Ford will not price protect a 2022 order ?

Well they better get me a Select with C/T option that I placed an order for with their new Standard trim plus what ever needs to be replaced with at the 2022 price or they will get heck from me.

Ford for all EVs is going to no haggle mode like Tesla. You gotta wait for discounts like you would a TV on Black Friday now
