The real trick would be to figure out the APIM code that the Lightning has to show the Key Detection Alert menu option in Sync so you don't have to stealth edit the double-honk in FORSCAN and you can just turn it on or off as you want.

Oh I didn't know that was built in. I'll see if I can't figure it out.

APIM Tab. I don't have a car to play with at the moment. Better just go one by one until you find it. haha
OH yeah I searched through there already it isn't labeled the same or isn't on it.

Custom Mode (CM) • Front Park Aid Long Term Disable (FPALTD) •
Rear Park Aid Long Term Disable (RPALTD) • Park Aid Acessory Mode (PAAM)

Mach E -- 9 = CM Enabled • FPALTD Disabled • RPALTD Disabled • PAAM Present
Lightning -- 7 = CM Disabled • FPALTD Enabled • RPALTD Enabled • PAAM Present

I have no idea what custom mode is, but it stands out for some reason.

Theres a ton of as built that does not apply to The Mach E in there too or many other vehicles. May be single vehicle specific.

Oh i know, but that's the fun of it. If i had my car, i would load the entire Lightning as-built in my apim and then work backwards until I found it. ?

I Just thought of something. i might be able to compare my asbuilt where I've turned key alert off to my dealer's mannequin asbuilt where it's probably still on. I have Livinitup's spreadsheet but I've run into settings there for some modules where my Lightning seems to have settings that aren't in the spreadsheet at all. Like a setting where the possible values are all even numbers...but my Lightning has an odd number for that setting and there's no text explanation for what that means.

But it might be worth a shot.

I don’t think you’ll find a difference in the APIM. As-built in there only adds and removes features and options. The switch that you’d enable tells another module to turn on or off something. The APIM doesn’t even save it on/off status, it seems to read status from other modules upon boot.

When you flip the switch for double honk disable (pretend we're in a lightning) it actually tells the BCM to change its as built. This happens for a lot of different options. Fun part is *sometimes* the car will upload the new as built to Ford and now that is your factory as built. That way if a module is OTA'd or replaced it doesn't revert those settings. Of course it seems that doesn't always work. The downside to that too is if you manually change things and screw things up you can lose your factory as built. Thats why I downloaded my file from Ford before I made any changes.

It's odd that the upload happens sometimes, but not always. I've had the liftgate options and the "silent mode" options enabled on my '22 and my as-built online still reflects the stock values, but someone that did the Frunk change, it updated the as-built online. Can't remember if that was you or not, that thread got busy.

I have an unrelated question. When starting our MME I hear "GPS single lost". Car starts everything works. Is there a fix? Thanks

Would love to have an alternate sound when the car autolocks. It scares the hell out of people. The car locks when the driver is only 10 or 20 feet away. A soft chirp would do the job.
@Ford Motor Company please read the above.
