@Mike G any issue switching the back plates to get the Mustang pony on the Lightning fob?
None. Popped it off and swapped. It does act like you're about to break it before it finally releases but it does come off without breaking. It's the tab on the rounded side that's a bit reluctant to release.

And there should not be any adhesive involved at all, just plastic tabs.

Has anyone checked to see if the frunk opens using the new key fob while the car is in drive?

There's a setting in the APIM that prevents the frunk from opening if the car is moving.

Strangely, the Lightning has the same setting but for some reason it's allowed to open if the truck is moving slower than 3Kph, don't ask me why there's a difference, or why that would be a good thing.

But just because you asked, I'm going to go out and try it right now.

The NHTSA rules allow a hood on a vehicle to open while moving below a certain (rather low) speed. The hood can only release but not pop open (for air I suppose) above that speed. I'd bet the 3 kph coincides with the NHTSA rule. I'm just too lazy to look it up is all.

How do you guys close your frunk? Is there any trick? Seems like I have to slam it down, but because the struts are so strong, its hard to get enough force. If close it slowly then put pressure on the latch, then the hood feels like it's going to cave.

My Lightning Key Fob came in at my Ford dealer today but I won't be back in town until late Saturday night so Sunday will confirm (I hope) that this works on a '21 Job 2 car. Don't see any reason why it won't.
Can you tell us what part number you gave the parts dept to order this?? And how many rewards points was it?

There are a ton of prior threads on this. You have to pick between "Team CPR" (drop gently to first latch, then press) and "Team Light Slammer".

Take care with the hood panel, though--it isn't beefy and seems like it would easily dent in with an improperly positioned CPR-style stroke.

NIce. I wanted to try this, but couldn't find the part number. Looks like it's OOS everywhere at the moment.
That black grille in your picture looks great

I received my Lightning fob today. Took about 10 seconds to program it and another 10 seconds to swap the back cover and trunk button I had from an ICE Mustang fob. The trunk button picture still isn't right since it shows a sedan, not a hatchback, but it's better than a pickup truck tailgate.
