Hi there! I can look into your Mach-E's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?
I like that Ford monitors these forums and responds to individual issues. Makes me happy to be a Mach-E owner.

See my post above, I had a 2021 Job 1 Premium and now a 2021 Job 2 GTPE and the wind noise is way, way worse in the GTPE compared to the Premium, both have the acoustic glass. Seems to be something different with the pano roof, maybe? After the whole recall fiasco, maybe they did something different than just a different adhesive?
Could definitely be the pano roof. Mine actually felt like it got quieter after it cracked and I had to get it replaced. I didn't think I had an issue before the replacement and was actually pleasantly surprised.

My sense is this is one of those things that's probably not all or nothing - a pano roof could be on decently, good, great, excellent without being so misaligned as to require a fix as long as it is one of those, so I can definitely see variability between vehicles.

My 22 Premium AWD ER had wind noise on the driver side window - like top part of it as described by the OP.
My 22 GTPE does NOT.

My 21 Premium RWD SR did not have wind noise either.

I don't know what to say.

On my 2022 GT the wind noise was pretty bad at speeds north of 45 or so. I added this to cover the gap between the windshield and the pano roof and it helps quite a bit:

Mine USED to have the wind noise.
Then I got a rock crack in the windshield, they replaced the windshield and no more noise.

The installer even mentioned the factory windshield wasn’t lined up great to avoid noise.

On a gas powered car, doesn’t matter, you couldn’t hear it anyways. Since our cars are so quiet, it makes a difference.

When I first got my Mach-E, I noticed the same thing. But I quickly forgot about it. I don't think you actually have a problem from the driver's side door top edge. I think what is going on is that since there is no engine, the vehicle sounds quieter at speed than it otherwise would, and so you notice these things a little more on something like the Mach-E.

Having said that, some people have had issues with excess noise from their panoramic roofs, so consider if you might be really experiencing that. I think this was more for early builds though, haven't heard about it recently.

Anyway, if you really want to hear unusual wind noise for a car, take it up to 90, 100, and see what that sounds like. At that speed, any ICE car will be having the engine making at least a fair amount of noise, masking other things. The Mach-E, having no engine, you really notice the wind noise coming from all windows at that speed.
The quietness of the EV itself makes any sound more noticeable, that's what I was thinking too. There are no any other noise inside other than tire noise and a bit of wind noise.

Also, I don't think they will make EVs more soundproofed than ICE.

I haven't really noticed this in my original 21 Select or my current 22 GTPE. One point of reference though, no pano roof on either one.

It wasn't leaking water at the windshield was it?
Mine doesn't have pano roof. It wasn't windy when it made noise.

My experience is the same as so many others posting here. I had a 2021 Premium and it was an absolute joy because it was so quiet. Now I have a 2022 Premium and am getting wind noise at 70+ mph that sounds like it's coming from somewhere around the driver's window. I have to say that the doors on the 2021 were harder to close than on the 2022. The 2021 doors required a hard pull to get them to latch and with that they closed with a thunk. The doors on my 2022 require a noticeably softer pull in order to get them to latch and instead of a thunk it's more like a rattle sound. I've been wondering since getting the 2022 if the doors need to be adjusted.

The fact that I'm not the only one to notice this irritating difference between the 2021 and 2022 models is somewhat reassuring.

No leaks, I have a pano roof. Didn’t matter if windy or not.

Basically before the windshield was replaced, the gap/spacing between the roof and windshield was ever so slightly uneven.

It wasn’t that loud, but definitely louder than it is now. I previously bought foam and put it in the gap (helped a lot). After the windshield replaced…… no foam, not needed.

My 22 has wind noise from driver's window at highway speed. My 21 premium didn't. Not sure whether due to the glass downgrade (21 was double layered).
Hi there. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Serious question — what car is out there at all that doesn’t have wind noise, especially at 80? Every car I’ve ever owned, including the Mach-E, has wind noise at highway speeds.
It's a noticeable difference.

My 2022 Cyber Orange Premium AWD ER had horrible wind noise on the driver side that I kept messing with the window controls to confirm it wasn't some door window gap. I dealt with it for a full month until I picked up a 2022 GTPE with near zero wind noise. And I'm violently ripping to 80-90mph very often with the GTPE.

Really wonder what the deviation is in manufacturing and/or assembly that is causing this. Do you notice any difference in the pano seal or anything? Mine LOOKS fine. While driving. I tried to almost stand up and put my head right up on the pano and it sounds pretty quiet up there, it definitely seems like it is more from the door itself or the noise coming from the pano seal is heard above the driver door rather than at the pano roof, since the pano roof has that border under it.

Mine doesn't have pano roof so it either from the door/window seal or windshield.
