It’s just taking you to the Maps page, which is already at the bottom of the screen.

It’s just clutter and do 95% of my charging at home so will never use it.
... if you are in an unfamiliar area then it becomes rather useful feature. I have found that the FordPass is more stable and less prone to freezing than other apps. Of course in your home area, like you I depend 100% on home charging ... it's simply cheaper and more convenient.

PS(1): I still don't got the frunk button functionality yet.
PS(2): I am streaming youTube thru the Personal HotSpot of phone and the PAAK drops more frequently, so I plan to carry my fob during road trips.

Hi, I don't understand. I see the frunk release button on my app. Are you referring to something else?
Lol. It’s a Job 1 issue, totally unrelated to the app. I just keep bringing it up because Ford still hasn’t enabled the remote frunk release for us.

I've lost count of how many times this has been said, but a FordPass update is not needed for the frunk button. So when the frunk button does finally appear, it won't be because of a FordPass update.
There’s a far more important question here. Yes, more important than a remote Frunk release for job 1 cars, as hard as that is to imagine. Bear with me, I promise this question is neither since fiction nor science fantasy.

What did this version of FordPass break?

The button is there, but it is grayed out.
Not for everyone. Many job 1 cars don’t even have a greyed out Frunk button in FordPass or elsewhere. Besides, the remote Frunk release for job 1 isn’t a FordPass issue.

Fall @Jimrpa, they told us Fall. Why would they lie? Why would they miss a self imposed deadline?

Alexgorod has provided a detailed list of things to try in order to get the car and my phone to communicate between each other
For 2021 Job 1 cars, there is no frunk button because they did not have the necessary software to actuate the release installed at the factory and the as-built data says they don’t. Ford’s servers see this in the as-built data and depopulate the button in the FordPass app. Your car is likely a 2021 Job 2 or a 2022, which has the release in the as-built data. ??

It’s not the as-built data that populates the FordPass app. My as-built has the frunk button enabled, but it’s still not in the app.

So for those people who have updated the BCM & GFM via FDRS and have tweaked the APIM with Forscan it’s is literally just a server side flag that needs to change to make the button show in the app and make them whole?

Then what are they waiting for??? ?

Ah, oops. Some other server-side variable, then. Or perhaps the in-car as-built is database is not the same as the database that the FP servers use (similar to the problem in which I had no second row of buttons)? ??

Yeah, it’s some kind of server-side switch that needs to be flipped. Not sure what they’re waiting for.
