B&O sound system does not sound all that great in my mach e ?
It sounds good, but I don't know could be better for a brand.

I feel like the bose system in any car sounds better. I have all the sound settings to normal.

Do you have it in surround sound? My previous 3 cars all had Bose and I think my mustang sounds the best.

I guess it’s a good thing that I only listen to talk radio on SXM. It definitely sounds better than a telephone. ??

I suppose it’s all about perspective. I’m coming from a 2004 CRV to my Mach e. Sounds amazing to me.

Can you get Tidal through Alexa?
I have Tidal which streams via BT but the sound is not as good as digital to HiFi on my home computer.

Ah really? I'm not an audiophile but imo the Mach E speaker system sounds about as good as my Sennheiser open back headphones on my PC. And I've test driven quite a few cars, haven't heard much better other than the like 40 speaker setup that you can get on an Aviator.

Side note: sound system sounds 1000x better than the tech package B&O speakers in my 2020 Explorer. That car kinda half baked their designs on everything, so it's not saying much, but it is better lol

Yeah I was wondering Alexa because it goes directly through the system and not BT

Agree with you that the B&O nothing to brag about. I had the THX Premium sound in my last Lincoln and it would blow the B&O away.

This is kinda like asking people what the best pizza is. What people like is not necessarily consistent person to person.

lots of people don't actually like "high fidelity reproduction" in their cars.. they prefer a U shaped response with a massive sub woofer. (been there)

From my perspective the B&O (Harman) system mids and highs are pretty good and the biggest "improvement" would be a more powerful sub.

I will say that I miss the base from the Bose in my Mazda CX-5, but I think it's a well-rounded system.

Regarding the B&O stereo system.... it sounds great for a Factory Stereo... The only issue I see is... most of the sound is coming from the front sound bar... try fading it the rear a little... it will help. Unfortunately, it's not a high line car... my 2020 750i sounds amazing with subwoofers under the seats... I believe the Harman Kardon sound system is 18 speakers... but, it doesn't have a $ 25,000 battery and cost twice the price of the 2022 MME GT PE... One of the issues with Electric cars is how much power do you want to give up for a sound system, cooled seats, etc... More power... less range. My 2 cents...

I agree with all those who said that Sirius XM & Streaming Alexa doesn't have all that good of lossless sound quality.

But on top of that the factory installed sound system is missing decent subwoofers. The bass isn't there and it makes everything sound & feel faded and thin not warm and full.

I put a pair of active subs in the back under the luggage area by the tire fix kit and mobile charger. That space can act a bit like a resonance chamber.

I'm not saying this will ever be a Bose system but that went a long way to adding the missing fullness.

I agree, this is what I did. Of course sound quality is subjective. Other variables include the particular song you are listening to as well as inherent issues with streaming audio (vs. a built in CD player).

Honestly, I feel like the reliance on streaming audio will always be the weak link in the chain. At least until mobile/wireless network become more robust with the ability to handle an increasing level of connectivity.
I also use a Dragonfly USB DAC between the iPhone and the sound system. It helps thins out. I’m not inclined to start changing out speakers as it is a car and I don’t really care that much. It’s a different story with my home audio. But try a USB DAC. I also don’t use surround sound as a lot of what I listen to what mastered in stereo. Surround muddies things up IMO.

In the end, it comes down to what you’re willing to put up with in car audio. For me it’s not that important.
