Yeah, definitely could be this as well. I think, given the ETAs we've received, it makes sense to me at least that it may sit down there for a while before starting its journey. Delivery is still 3.5-4 weeks away, so if the car keeps moving on a relatively smooth basis once it starts, then it shouldn't take that long. I still have faith at this point that it is going to happen.

I've been able to activate the vehicle in FordPass for 2 days...just hoping someone happens to turn the vehicle on and accept the confirmation so I can track it. ;)
Mine was in this status for about a week and I was hoping the same thing. Then one day, the screen reset itself in the app and it said I needed to wait until I took delivery of the vehicle.

Mine sat for a whole hour before the app reset and has said the same thing.

I wonder if something to do w/ Nite Pony could be a cause of delay. Friend has your same spec but in star white. He was 6 before you on the line: 009217 297/1419
Status remains in production but many modules lit up.
what do those numbers mean? I looked on my window sticker and found 9217 1246/1419

Ford Chat just told me my vehicle has been produced, and gave me an ETA to my dealer of Dec 4-10, which is the same ETA they've been telling me each of the past two weeks.

Of course the Ford order tracking page only says the car is still in production (which it's said since Nov 7 or so). I don't know why Ford can't manage to provide a web page that has accurate information, surely it would save them money if people didn't clog up their support lines to get a competing update.

Yeah, unfortunately, my car sat built, but still "In Production," for a week before it showed shipped. For some reason, my car and a bunch of the first 500 in the first batch sat around for a long time in the factory. It may be a mystery that is never solved...

That's exactly what I was just talking about. Your car was in the first 500 and this has been a problem with a lot of those. Who knows what the problem is / was, but it is frustrating to see cars that are produced 1000 or more behind yours getting shipped.

My only advice is to just pay attention to the ETA and the tracking will hopefully catch up to it.

What location in CA / which dealer?

South SF Bay Area, The Ford Store in Morgan Hill - no ADM.
I ask because there's a few of us around the same batch position going to WC Ford and have been given ETA's around a week (plus or minus a couple days) later than yours. Our cars already show "Shipped" but we have no evidence that they have moved at all.

Has anyone successfully tracked a railcar # stating with KCS? The usual methods provided on this forum don't seem to work. Any suggestions?

My take is that it's a week to load and cross the border and another week to MO (if that's your path, I understand CA cars may be doing their own thing now). I have also observed that there is no real time tracking, especially from FC. So if your car is on the train on one of these legs you have no idea if it's moving or not until it reaches the next destination. So cars might be sitting in MX and they might be crossing the border into TX but we won't know unless they are logged in as having arrived in TX.
