Well, the calm screen could be launched by pressing the volume knob, so that was already easily accessible.
Early-ish 2021 here.
Pressing the volume knob on mine has never done anything.

It’s two taps is all, it’s not even 3 seconds.

Due to the nature of our garage, the cameras are essential to parking without hitting either side of the garage door opening (single car slot), to avoid bashing the BlueIon PVE batteries or the absurdly expensive triathlon bikes on the wall at the far end. Stopping is much less costly than pulling in without the cameras and hoping you get it exactly right.
My bikes/equipment get their own garage space and my wife parks out in the cold, priorities… ?

I started doing Triathlons last year and I love it. Probably won't ever get an absurdly expensive tri-bike, because I am just doing it for fun. A somewhat expensive street bike is enough for my slow ass pace.

Then it’s likely you haven’t been getting updates.
I just went out and tried again.
I've pushed that knob in many times.
I guess I never pushed and held for a bit.
If I hold it in for a bit, I guess I get what's called the calm screen.
I'm pretty sure I'm getting updates, but maybe not as early as some folks.
Power Up is 3.5.4.2, but in FordPass I have a message from Nov. 16th that I have received 3.6.1
Sync is version 22228, revision 539
My FordPass says 4.23.1
Does that sound right?

Engaged and unbridled are both verbs, using the past tense, while whisper is a present-tense verb. That was the inconsistency - tense.

But you are right that engaged and unbridled can also be used as adjectives.
You bring up an issue that I am often confused by: are those technically verbs? They are called past participles and they are derived from verbs and can be adjectives but I’m not sure they still are verbs.

Yes, they are verbs. "Engaged", for example, can be used either as the past tense of "engage" or the past participle of "engage". In either case, "engaged" remains a verb. Past tense and past participle are two different verb forms. The word "engaged" can also be used as an adjective, but in that usage it is not a past participle, nor is it a verb form of any kind.

Consider the sentence "I engaged you." What is the verb in this sentence?

I would move this discussion to the grammar subforum, but can't seem to locate it...

Our bikes are ancient tech by todays standards. My tri bike is a P3 from back when that was top of the line. Love that bike, took me through 2 Ironman World Championships.

I might still be doing them if not for my back and knee. I still think I might be able to tough one more out if my back cooperates after the surgery. I’m learning chi-walking. Going to see if it’s possible to meet the run cutoffs at Ironman 70.3 Sant Cruz by fast walking.

Why? Cause they close Highway 1 for the bike portion and damn, riding highway 1 without fear of cars is worth the price of admission. ;)

Oh and yes, it’s an expensive hobby.

I like the new design and camera feature. Not having a main screen button for trunk release is a miss. This is the only SUV type car I ever owned that did not have a dedicated button for trunk release. I have a early Job 1 2021 with a non-working frunk button in the frunk. I am not sure Ford will ever make that work. But having a quick access trunk button is kind of key I feel. I do love the car though being a Job 1 we been through a lot of frustration, PAAK, stuck updates, system resets, glass recalls, dealers service that have no idea how to handle this car etc, etc but I still love the car!!

After you stop pressing and repressing the button, the calming begins. ☺

Quick question, is there still a way to adjust temperature and seat heating intensity just by touchscreen and without using the dial? For example by "dragging" on the bar that appears above the dial when the appropriate mode is triggered?

I know I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely hate using the dial. It feels incredibly cheap and often doesn't register single "notch" turns.
No, just the dial. But check out the thread on interior mods. Inhance the look and feel. They have dial covers. ? The dial does seem to work well now.

No. Alexa being dismissed has nothing to do with the new camera button.
Ok it is in the exact same location, so maybe the camera button shown there pops up and replaces at times. Dunno. Don’t use Alexa.
