And that's why it needs to be investigated. That TCU is overdue.
okay thank you I was just at the dealer, and they only do what Ford shows is a recall or a CSP. They are not very helpful and prefer not to deal with the Mach-e its a burden for them.

its been a long time I have checked this site

i received an alert in the car and Fordpass “pre collision assist not available”
The beeping is non stop, I have tried everything to no avail.

I brought the car into Ford this morning and they told me there was an HVAC recall on the car. I thought that issue was dealt with when I received the 3.6.1 OTA But the rep told me no.

can someone look up my car to see what may need to be done

I have an appt with dealer Mon because I'm stuck downloading 4.1.2 for weeks. Wanted to be sure no other updates popped up before I go in. Thanks! 3FMTK3SU9NMA41574
So dealer called and said they can't get it to update either and filed a ticket with Ford. Have to leave it overnight. Would FDRS show more info?

The tech did the OBCC update (twice cause I'm guessing it didn't clear the first time even though it probablly was successful the first time).....and then they ran the Module Update Repair tool (twice) with the same result, that being that this TSB for getting GWM, TCU, and APIM databases fixed didn't apply to this car......

Then apparently the APIM update did fail (line 14) and they had to order a new one.

That's what the repair code is at the bottom.

You still hav a PCM (powertrain) and an APIM (Sync) modules that could be updated. Don't know why they wouldn't do those since they still have the car. I'd ring them and ask.

Oh and if they will do it make sure to tell them to do the APIM first before the PCM.

I just had a look at the session log...they didn't do any updates. They started to do the APIM and then quit without actually doing it.

Here's the session log showing that they did "f*** all". :cool:

Thanks Mike, much appreciated. I just spoke with the tech.. he said they tried to force the update but the car rejected it. He said ford issues these to all cars and some take it and some don‘t ?‍♂

In other news.. while it was in the discovered it needs a driveshaft ..if I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck ?

Yes in general terms, but there's no indication what exactly they replaced in FDRS. It might have been the gateway but I'm not sure. If FP says you got OTA 4.1.2 well that's the new Sync 640. But that's not what FDRS says you have now based on the software revision itself. And you wouldn't have gotten that new Sync update under normal circumstances unless your gateway was updated to a later revision of the gateway software than what FDRS shows for that module right now as well. You'll have to ask for an explanation on what part they actually replaced.
It ended up being quite the adventure at the dealership on Friday. I collected the information you had provided and brought it with me since the service writer couldn’t tell me what was done to the car. Turns out it was quite involved but a lot of numbers and codes. Reading off the service log/warranty invoice they gave me they first got a IMPA module error code U3000:49 and couldn’t get it to update. A few other lines written about that until saying “IMPA internal failure, codes for the IMPA communication failures with ABS module U023A:00:2C and the PSCM U023:00:08” upon which they ordered a replacement. Apparently the item cost a few thousand dollars, thank goodness for warranty. You mentioned module software versions reading as old however I did get the new Sync UI but I am not sure if it is 4.1.2 or 4.1.3. It says revision 640 but I think I read both versions have that number.

One of the head service techs that actually works on the cars came out and talked to me and said to drive it around and get back to him. He mentioned possibly having to replace the entire computer box if there are still problems and I am not sure if there are things left out on the service log they printed. Do you still see old versions tied to the car but no updates available or other strange things?

I hope it doesn’t need a driveshaft. The transaxles are connected directly to the motors. It likely needs a half-shaft. ??

Gosh.. I really don’t know, thats just what the dealer said ?‍♂ I guess I’ll find out in a week or two when the part comes in.
