Hi Mike, just read that the PSCM update is no longer available? Is it still there on mine? I am hoping the new 4.2.1 update will come soon.

Can you also please check my wife's car again? The dealer is being really stingy on doing updates. The door decal says it was built in September of 2020. Can you please tell me the actual build date? Thanks so much!

You do have some additions...ask your tech to update the TCU before they update the APIM.

Hi Mike, since my last post i've received the 2.6.0 via OTA and in the last few days other 2 updates (22-PU0707-SCH-POPB and 22-PU0706-SCH-POPA) which were released way after the 2.60... so I'm getting lost... am I supposed to have received also all the other things in between them?

do you know anything about it?

Anyway, not yet to the dealer. Thanks.

You do still have the PSCM in your list...as well as the GWM update that is the same as OTA 4.2.1:

Since you are in the EU I don't think all of the same OTAs are going out to EU Fords as they are here in the US/Canada areas. For example EU countries aren't getting the new Sync UI (Sync 640) yet.

Here's the list of updates today, (your TCU and APIM got updated from last time):

Only one of these might come as an OTA and that's the HVAC (OTA 3.6.1, TSB-22B28). The rest will have to be done using FDRS.

Thanks so much Mike! Did the dealer do the APIM on the Explorer in the last service? They told me they only did the WACM module, but I no longer see it in the list.

VIN 3FMTK3SU3NMA49895 - Traded in a 2021 select for a 2022 premium at a non-Ford dealer on 2/28. Looking to see if there is anything showing on my VIN that would warrant a trip to the dealer.

I have an alert in FordPass showing 3.6.1 is available. It shows received on 2/8 (and I believe I saw it in there when I had the first car. So I'm thinking somehow FordPass is holding on to the message from my 2021. Tried clearing the app cache and data and even uninstalling but the alert is still showing. I did contact the OTA team who said there was no update available for my VIN.

I think if those powertrain items got updated you'd see a GWM and APIM shortly thereafter....but that's just a SWAG.

Here's some follow-up.

The car came home about a month later. HVJB was toast and they had some delays at the dealership. Drove today and all seemed well.

No new updates from what I can see but was able to set up PaaK successfully for the first time and received an email shortly after that with receipt for BlueOval charging dated all the way back to December 17.

Something wasn't right and I'm hoping it's all fixed up!

This is so fun…

Came out to the car this morning and was immobilized again. Called ford to confirm case was still open and report the issue has returned. This time, the rep was able to validate that they were seeing entries from my vehicle reporting to their portal. Called a different local dealership and they confirmed seeing issues as well. Got a tow and the dealership called asking to confirm the vehicle was actually undrivable this morning because their mechanic was just able to drive it. I confirmed and let them know this is the second time it’s happened in a week so something is definitely broken.

Luckily this service department seems eager to help and will actually scan/reprogram. Fingers crossed that they can fix it for me.

Mine is going to dealer tomorrow to get new APIM since it keeps failing update. Can you check what it needs before? Thanks! 3FMTK3SU9NMA41574
They are done with my car at dealer. Can you check & see what they did? Thanks!

First you have no available updates.

They did a PMI on a side obstacle detection module, and on the APIM, and then a gateway update (GWM) and then did a configuration of the RFA (Bluetooth) module.

Hopefully that's what you were expecting.

The current gateway revision showing in FDRS is equivalent to OTA 4.1.1. So you'll be expecting an APIM update to the new Sync UI (Sync 640) next. Don't know why that's not in your list right now actually.....

Wow yeah thought they were going to update with new UI since it kept failing. They replaced APIM for this reason. I guess now I will have to wait for OTA again.

Well the bulk of the work was all done on the 3rd of March.

Here's the list of updates they didn't do while it was in the shop (they literally only updated what they had to):
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 3FMTK3SU6MMA03153-9-Mar-23

That gateway update (GWM) whenever it rolls in will be OTA 4.2.1 for your car.

Make sure you double check your automatic update settings to ensure they're still turned on. Sometimes they get turned off during programming events and the schedule has to be deleted and reset. Remember, updates only come using the car's TCU, not Wi-Fi. So I set mine to check when I know I'll be driving the car to make sure the 12V battery is above 80% SOC and I'm in a good area of AT&T coverage (3 bars or higher).

I checked the session log history going back to late January and there is no log showing that the dealer tech did an APIM update. Since your Explorer has Sync III and Ford let's owners update Sync III by downloading the update to a thumb drive (well at least I think they still do that) ...do you think they might have done that?
