Wow yeah thought they were going to update with new UI since it kept failing. They replaced APIM for this reason. I guess now I will have to wait for OTA again.
So I checked this morning and it now it shows your F188 DID for the APIM as "-BB" revision which is the latest...and your gateway is likewise "-LKA" which is the latest and the same as OTA 4.2.1. I think you're up to date.

Thanks yes I did get the UI update. So I didn't get 4.1.3 yet or any others that started popping up this week? Also is -BB for APIM software or hardware version?

"-BB" is the software revision for the latest (as of now) Sync update for your car. You blew past 4.1.3. You have the same GWM revision that 4.2.1 delivers.

I checked the session log history going back to late January and there is no log showing that the dealer tech did an APIM update. Since your Explorer has Sync III and Ford let's owners update Sync III by downloading the update to a thumb drive (well at least I think they still do that) ...do you think they might have done that?
I guess it could be possible. I can download updates to sync with Wifi too. Maybe the latest one had an APIM update attached?

I apparently spoke too soon. I’m out and about doing stuff this morning and a few minutes ago FP notified me that I just got PowerUp 4.2.2. And the notes are all about the changes I got back when my APIM got updated to Sync 640 (new UI). So at this point I really don’t know what’s been updated. I’ll have to check for differences in revisions later to see if I can figure it out. More later. My Mach-E never gets updates. This is like a big first.

EDIT: After the car slept overnight the Sync version showed it was Sync 713.

My 2021 is on 4.1.2 and I'm trying to see what updates I need to get the keypad frunk to work. I bought an F150 Lightning fob, but apparently the frunk button won't work until I get this update done. 3FMTK3R75MMA02530 Appreciate anyone who can help me out.

Hello,

I have a 21 Select Stabdard Range and haven’t received any sync updates since October. I called OTA team and they could not see any updates ever being delivered to the car. They told me to take it to the dealer. I did today and they updated the hvac control module and cleared the code for the CSP. They said there are no sync updates available for my car. Could someone please run my VIN and see if they are missing anything?

Thank you

Well I know what the updates are. They came out last summer. It's the combination of the BCM and the GFM together that enables the door keypad/keyfob to work and then activating the "softbutton" in Sync using FDRS (or FORSCAN).

Here's the list of available software updates:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 3FMTK3R75MMA02530-10-Mar-23

You do not have a GFM update in your list. So there may be a dependency issue at work here. You may have to have the GWM updated and then the BCM updated before the GFM shows up.

If after doing those two the GFM doesn't show up I would do a PMI on the GFM to force a complete reload of the software on the GFM (answer "No" when asked if the original module is installed).

Your current revision of the GFM is one rev behind ("-AE" and should be "-BE"). So keypad/fob frunk access won't happen until that GFM gets updated and the BCM as well.

But as you probably know by now...always update a GWM, APIM, or TCU in your list before doing anything else.

Well they're not wrong exactly....you don't have any APIM update in your list. But the real question is why? Your APIM revision is pretty far behind what's current but there are no available updates. Your car may be "stuck" and need a "Module Update Repair" procedure run in FDRS to see if you have corrupted data that's keeping you from getting updates.

I'd take it back and ask that it specifically be diagnosed for corrupted data in the APIM, GWM, or TCU so that they will run this diagnostic:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others Module_Update_Repair

That will inform their further deliberations. Worst case you tell the service advisor that you'd like the tech to request Ford Engineering support (use the hotline) to help get your car sorted.

Here's the list of available updates you have today:

That GWM in the list is the same one as OTA 4.2.1 whenever that shows up for you:

Hello,

Sounds like a bunch of folks are getting the 4.2.2 update. Someone suggested I might not be receiving since I may have updates that need to happen before hand. Can someone check please?

Many thanks,

Thank you so much @Meedo

@Mike G - question for ya! Do you think the GWM will come OTA or do I need the dealer to update that one to release whatever is next?

Thank you both!
Kirk
