Here's the list of available updates (none of which would come as OTA):
3FMTK4SE5MME01033-7-Apr-23.png

You may ask your service advisor to see if they'll knock out the PCM and hopefully that might break loose the newer gateway and Sync updates.
Thank you! ? (and Grrrr....) This car recently was in the shop for a HVJB replacement and they were SUPPOSED to update everything at that time...
The fact that the dealer took over 6 weeks for that replacement. Somewhere along they way, they lost a piece of the car which was apparently made of unobtanium and still on back order?
I've very little hope they will be of much help. Phone call made and ?

Went to dealer Monday to try and get them to do update - said I was up to date. I'm on 3.6.1. Tried to get them to apply PCM - they said they couldn't. I gave up.

Can someone look up VIN 3FMTK3SU0NMA49644 for me to see what available updates I have out there?

Thanks!!!

Recommend asking the dealer to do the PCM so that newer gateway (GWM) and Sync (APIM) updates will show up for you. I think you've got the "PCM dependency" issue that's keeping you from getting the newer updates.
Mike, how long do you think it takes to update the PCM ?! Bill P

The PCM is part of what Ford calls a coordinated set of updates to the powertrain.

It would automatically chain the following module updates, if there were updates for any or all of them: PCM, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, and the ABS as well if an update is required for that. An hour to an a hour and a half tops.

No problem.

Here's your list:

That BCM/GFM combo is the one you'll need to ask them for to get frunk access, along with the tool below:
Frunk_Button_Enable.png
Thanks! I’ll be sure to ask for them. By the way, what is the tool in the second screenshot?
Also, are any of these urgent/critical/mandatory (I’m trying to identify the ones I want to really whine about in case they feel like saying “no”).

The tool in the screen shot enables the button on the center display for the frunk release after the BCM and GFM have been updated. The procedure used to only be in FORscan, but the new tool makes it a one stop shop for a tech to enable the button. ??

I haven't seen this before but on the other hand I knew it was possible...

You do have a gateway revision that indicates you got 4.1.1 ("-LAD" rev.).

And you're correct the next thing should have been the APIM update in your list, but for some reason that didn't download yet. (you can ask your service advisor on the phone to check your OTA dashboard and tell you why).

And the new wrinkle is you have the next gateway (GWM) update already in your list. this may be somehow blocking you getting the APIM.

Despite what the normally recommended sequence is for updating (GWM then APIM then TCU) I strongly recommend that if a tech does this update to fix your car that he/she goes straight to the APIM first before doing that GWM in the list just to try to follow the sequence that should have occurred (the 4.11 you got, followed by the APIM/4.1.2 you haven't gotten yet, and then that next GWM/4.1.3- which could actually be 4.2.1 at this point since it's been that long.)

Hope that makes sense.

Here's the list this morning:
3FMTK3RM8MMA39349-15-Mar-23.png

Now I realize that most techs don't think highly when customers come in and tell them what "the internet" thinks they ought to do. So diplomacy is best.
Update - Ford got me back on track and I'm at 4.2.2 now. The techs printout followed your update sequence. Thanks again!

How do I get the tech to use that tool and do that?

The tool in the second screenshot is the one that places that Frunk softbutton on the graphic of your car on the Sync screen. Depending on what version of Sync you have, on the old version it puts the Frunk softbutton on the Access screen, on the new Sync with the new UI it puts the Frunk softbutton on the car graphic at the top of the Drive Modes screen.

Either way they will need to run that tool after updating the BCM and GFM to complete the full glory that is the electrified Frunkness.

So for all the other items;

Some of these are updated due to customer concerns, The WACM would be updated if you iPhone (yours or somebody else's) gets hot on the charge pad but doesn't actually charge effectively. the DSP is updated if you get audio 'dropouts' from the sound system. The DSM gets updated if when you get in the car the driver's seat and mirrors don't go to the positions for the stored profile or keyfob you're carrying, but instead go to the positions for the other stored profile or associated keyfob. The HVAC is one that is paid for by Ford and is related to the possibility of your windshield fogging up under certain circumstances. The GSM would get updated to correct issues with your gearshift knob occasionally throwing an error either as an indication on the instrument cluster, or as a 'silent error code' that the service advisor and tech can see in the PTS system. The PCM and SOBDM are powertrain updates, and finally the OBCC is an update for DCC fast charging.

All of these are updates that result in a positive improvement in the functions of the car and should all be updated. It might take them an hour and a half to do them.
