First off, thanks for doing this. I've learned so much from this site and other users. I've tried many of the things listed here but no luck. My last update was for the DC Fast Charging back on October 6th. Any suggestions? 2021 Select Job 1 (I think), VIN 3FMTK1SS3MMA34248.

11 May '21 build date, Job 1 car.

Selects without BC are kindof hard to figure. Because the car didn't come with BC, the available updates for the cruise control-related modules (CCM, IPMA, PSCM) never received the same OTA updates that cars with BC got...and dealer techs aren't going to update them unless there's a complaint that cruise control is behaving erratically. That said, and this is by no means conclusive, it's possible that some of these outstanding updates that have never been applied are keeping your car from receiving newer updates for the gateway (GWM), Sync (APIM), and the telematics modem (TCU). I don't know that this is the problem, but I don't know that it's not. I just see Selects come through on this thread and a lot of them seem to be stuck, and I'm thinking it may be a dependency problem.

I would recommend that you make an appointment with your service advisor to have your car diagnosed to determine why it's not getting updates. Don't accept the explanation that "Well Ford just hasn't sent you any", cause you're way behind on the Sync revision for one thing. You should be at Sync 713 by now.

You can also contact the OTA team and ask them to look into it. Call 800-392-3673 and ask for the BEV Team. Explain that your car isn't updating and you need help. (props to @HuntingPudel for this info).

Here's your list of available updates (does not include updates that haven't appeared because you may be stuck, like Sync update, or gateway, etc):

Thanks for the detailed response and explanation. I just got off the phone with 2 different BEV team members and both couldn't help and told me to schedule a service with my local dealer. I set up that appointment for next Tuesday and will respond here once I learn more just in case others are in similar situation as me.

You should get the dealer to also enable your Frunk release in Sync. See posts on this forum on how to do that.

I seem to have lost the ability to see my current Power Up software version. I used to just go to Settings/Software Updates/Update Details. I think it last said I was on 4.2.1 … but now it just says “Your vehicle is up-to-date.”

Well I know it’s not “up to date” because I still don’t have the camera button or the ability to adjust anything other than volume with the volume knob.

Isn’t there anywhere to check the currently installed software version on without using special tools or software?

Settings/General/About SYNC says I’m on SYNC 4 Software Version: 22228_PRODUCT Revision 539 … which appears quite old (from September 2022, I think).

So can anyone please run my VIN to see what that shows regarding installed software and modules needing updating. I’m getting concerned that something is stuck as the car is always garaged on WiFi.

Thanks in advance! ?

If you say things like.."I get errors when trying to fast charge", and "My phone sometimes loses the connection to the car" they might be inclined to do the updates for the OBCC and RFA. Dealership techs ususally let APIM (Sync) updates come as OTA because they know Ford pushes those out more or less routinely (more likely to let it come as an OTA if it shows up in your OTA Dashboard in PTS as a pending download). And the HVAC update is supposed to be the same as OTA 4.2.5. So they may do the OBCC and RFA if you say you're having issues, but don't be surprised if they don't update any of them if you don't say something.
I definitely said something. They know me from the hellish experience I had with the 21.

So, the dealer said the update failed and they had to contact Ford and after hours Ford finally got back to them and said there’s a bunch of other modules that should be updated / reinstalled before attempting again. They are keeping my vehicle at least overnight, possibly multiple days.

Well if you've gotten those OTAs then "PCM Dependency" isn't a problem anymore. You'll get the next OTA as well I imagine, and that will be another gateway (GWM) update and should be 4.2.3. But don't be surprised if 4.2.5 (HVAC) pops in first. That's happened for a couple of people.
Update- just got 4.2.3 this afternoon! We’re rollin’ now! Bill P
