I got these photos today of the new Glendale Az site. No transformer that I could find, so not open yet, but some of the parking is CCS friendly.

How long before the one in the middle of the parking lot gets destroyed by a car? I am very surprised it has nothing around it but that one post.

Tesla is putting nearly all the MD SCs at high risk by removing parking blocks so CCS cars can reach. I'm sure their damage rate will increase. Mostly by Teslas backing in, ironically.

I am sure Tesla has gone cheap and taken away backup cameras and proximity sensors as part of their cost cutting. LOL.

What is amazing tesla has put magic dock all over the place. While EA still can't repair stations. EA almost always have 4 stands and at least 2 don't work.
I drive from sea to spokane regularly. The EA In Ellensburg has gotten increasingly busy in last 3 years. To point of long waits. Still only 2 work. A few months ago, they were all down for repair for awhile. replaced 2 posts. Still only 2 work. 1 new and 1 old.
I have not stopped at an EA station without complaints of reliability. Tesla will soon be sole provider. Took only 2 tries first time and only because card I had on file expired. Hardest part is getting cord to reach. And WILL cause conflict. If I was tesla driver, if all spots are full, especially several (even 1) non tesla evs taking 2 spots.
Sadly tesla is the ONLY charge network that is reliable. It is also the ONLY charge network along all major freeways in US but also many other so you can road trip someplace.

I can remember Tesla owners going onto the then new Mach e forums in 2019/2020 and bitching about Tesla chargers having issues. Times have changed.

I have found ChargePoint to also be a reliable network. This war true on our across the country round trip this Summer. Matter of fact, ChargePoint is my preferred network now.

Generalizations are generally bad, but if those rented Uber Tesla drivers knew how to do math, they probably wouldn't be renting Teslas to do Uber...
If they have a car that they picked up used and has free super charging for life, they math may very well work out.

Stopped here yesterday for my first Magic Dock expreience. Easy-peasy, except for taking up 2 spaces. Which was OK, because out of 8 spaces it was just me and one Tesla.

I didn't get a receipt from the session, though...unlike all other charger brands I've used. Maybe they're embarrassed charging $.49 kw? ?

Or park diagonally, since a Tesla can't use that space to the left of the MME anyway (it would need that same charger). The corners of the MME curve inward, allowing the car to get maybe a half foot closer. It also puts the car's charge port a little closer via the shorter angle. And requires less bend in the cable. Probably adds up to about a foot total savings.

Of course, first choice is always grabbing a solo post, side post, or end post if they exist and have the extra clearance to park in a way that doesn't tie up 2 spots for Teslas that charge from the other side.

Fortunately that double-lip curb at that location is unusual. Never seen one sticking up above the curb like that.
Someone needs to develop wireless charging for our EV’s. Pull up close, auto connection, can decide on the vehicle screen to charge or not. Now that could simply eliminate any physical connects. To some degree, that technology already exists. Wouldn’t that be cool……!

brand new v3 site with magic docks appears to have gone partially alive in north glenn, co:

https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/7874979/

from a cursory look, some of the pending v4 dispenser sites are ready to go and just waiting on transformers or other utility work to complete the job.

Those stands are way stronger than you think. I hit one with my Model X due to delay in the backup camera, that bastard didn't move but did dent the shit out of my back quarter panel.
