Meh...when that interview came out, my take was that he didn't really seem to know much. While he didn't correct Tom, he didn't confirm it either.To be fair, there was at least one interview published with Ford’s charging director (I think it was on State of Charge), and he stated on camera that we would have to buy the adapter after being specifically asked. Buying them was the plan for long time. But apparently Farley ordered a change to complementary fairly recently. Those that said it wasn’t going to be free were reiterating the facts shared by Ford employees at the time. Can’t really blame people if they were told wrong, or if the plan changes last minute. It was not speculation.

He said they will be available for sale on the Ford Accessories website, which is still a true statement. Earlier in the interview he said something to the effect of "available for delivery to owners" with regards to the rollout.
