This morning I couldn't log on to Ford.com. The web site does not recognize my log in creds (the same creds as always). I also received this notice.

Your Phone As A Key access for your 2023 Mustang Mach-E 2023 2023 Mustang Mach-E has been removed due to an account update or a vehicle-reset action. Drivers are no longer able to use this backup start passcode to enter or start the vehicle. A key fob is required to start this vehicle. Backup Start Passcodes are no longer valid.

If you own this vehicle and this notification is unrecognized or unexpected, please contact a FordGuide.
I did not reset my sync or my account. Deleted and downloaded a FordPass with same result. I wonder if Ford has been hacked?

Wow. That sucks!

Do you use another application to log into your Ford account? Like Recurrent or something you set up with your power company? Or maybe you use the Android widget? My account was locked over a year ago because I was using my Ford account credentials to connect my car to Tronity. But PaaK was not removed, so it might not be the same thing.

Potentially sounds like hacking. Can't they send you a reset-password link? Be sure to enable 2FA on the website too.

What is 2FA? I deleted my account and registered a new one. Now I have to reconnect my wife's and my account to the MME and our Maverick. Fun fun, fun.

Do you have your MME or is it in the shop?
I'm curious if you happened to have received an update last night that pissed the car off.

I see nowhere in my account to enable 2fa on Ford.com.
Digging I stumbled on: https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/search/what-is-multi-factor-authentication/
Which has a nice, not blue link to the account manager (another subdomain yay!) https://accountmanager.ford.com/
Which I could finally add/edit 2fa. What a cluster. Anyone in the world happen to use this link>?
Edit: Well appears if you have your loan/lease throughFord you may well use this site.

No, the car was in the driveway last night when, apparently, FordPass tanked. No SW updates since January. Looks like the Brits are having FordPass issues as well..

I wonder if the Ford chat lady I chatted with a few days ago didn't like my review of our conversation and got even.:)

ford credit has a 2FA option (i've enabled, uses an TOTP, and works well) but it is only for ford credit. the SSO for all the other ford sites i visit don't use it at all.

Yep, not very effective when they ignore the rest of the sites.

Just so you know Tronity now works with Ford. I signed back up a couple weeks ago. It seems they only pull the data nightly. But it works great.

I know! I am very glad it is working again. I restarted Tronity at the beginning of January immediately after I got the email from them that Ford is supported again. I love it.

They are still having problems with the API as the odometer is not updating reliably. But the battery level is updated in real time.

Have the same issue with Odometer displaying what it was when my account was locked originally (Nov 2022). They are supposedly working on it. But the rest of the system works perfectly.
