Received my A2Z adapter today!

Trying to Navigate to a Tesla charger, but the one nearest me does not show up in the car's Navigation app or in the car's Charge Assist app. It does show up in Fordpass. how do you precondition the battery on the way to a Tesla charger if you can't navigate to it?

There is an update the car needs to see those stations in the nav app. Also, not all Tesla stations are in there. My closest one is about 50 miles away.

Do you mean 24-PU102-CHG-SUFX? I received that a week or so ago.

it should show up in the Charge Assist app - try tweaking the "Filter" and look for the "Hide stations requiring adapter" toggle:

Was that on by default from the update? I should probably go check mine before I forget this setting exists lol

i don't use charge assist much but i think the toggle was off when i first went to look there for superchargers (a week or so ago) since i remember seeing them show up right away. YMMV

The Tesla Superchargers we can use aren't currently in the Ford Nav system. You can find them in the Charge Assist app which is being renamed to Public Charging. The Superchargers will be added to the nav system "later this year."

Although it makes things a bit complicated right now, I don't mind. This gives time for word to really get out there about the Supercharger access and how it will work (aka, you at least need an adapter). The worse thing would be people accidentally picking a Supercharger and they show up without an adapter or not knowing how to activate them if they don't have P&C enabled.

Note: You can also find them using FordPass and Tesla apps. In FordPass there is a Fast Charging Adapter filter. In Tesla, you can tell it that you have a Mach-E with an adapter under charging, and then it will show you compatible stations.

DO you have any inside information on if more Superchargers are going to be added in addition to the current stations that became available on Feb 29th?

No I have no info on that.

I really hope they add the V2/V3 stations and just make it clear to people that we can only use the V3 stalls. The problem is that they aren't labeled and look really similar.

Yes. More stations have been trickling In over the last week. Some need software, some need hardware, some are being held back. We don’t know what all the criteria are.

BTW, you can’t precondition en route to a Tesla Supercharger at this time Charge Assist doesn’t precondition.

Right. Now the most reliable way to know if a Supercharger is available to a Ford is to use the Tesla app.

This answers my first question, but that's disappointing. Hopefully, they have it fixed by next winter.

Ford really needs to make preconditioning easier. Gee, guys, just put in a damn on-screen button. Disclaimer the heck out of it if you have to, but please make it easier! /rant off/

Would you rather get charging at Superchargers sooner or wait until all the bells and whistles are in place?

I think Ford made the right call. Give me Supercharger access now and improve it later.
Besides, why all the bitching? Do you have an adapter yet? Ford may have everything else I place by the time you do.
