Has anyone else, lost power top in power when driving a mustang Mach EGT 2022 or other?
In December or 2022, I was driving on the freeway and got a message after losing top in power, dropping my speed from 85 to 38 miles an hour. The message relayed catastrophic high voltage battery failure.
It was in the shop for about 10 days,
The 2nd time it happen was earlier this year this time with my three-year-old in the car. I had a pull to the side of the roadway and wait for help. The 3rd time was two weeks ago when I was driving through a canyon 15 miles from the nearest city with nowhere to pull to the side of the roadway for help. Again with my three-year-old in the car. I was forced to drive 15 miles at top speeds of 38 miles an hour to the city where I called for a tow truck.

Can you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are currently working with? I would like to look into your loss of power concerns on my end.

It appears you may not be aware of this situation. I am not suggesting to read the entire thread but the first post will give you some guidance. Many have had your same issue.

Maybe, maybe not. I had an issue on my original MME, interacted with Ford through this forum, they set up all my service appointments, paid for one month of my car payment, and gave me a small gift of a free maintainence plan when I traded in the vehicle for a newer MME.

Sadly, everyone's experience is different but they did take care of me.

It's a customer service team, so not always the same Ford person answering which probably explains some of the different experiences. Mine was the rear camera going out.

Agree with good luck to the OP though, not a good situation!

My Mach E GT has been in for services 9 times, 7 of which were safety concerns related to lost of power due to the known safety issues. I’m at 78 day in the shop in the last 15 months.

At this point I would suggest you lemon law it.

actually wasn't my experience with them when I had a charging issue with my mach e (a very long thread created about the issue if you want to read). They official ford account above investigated the issue, created an escalated case number and the issue was fixed.

I finally got ahold of a supervisor over at the Ford Customer Relationship Center. I sent Michelle a nice long, detailed summary of the ongoing safety concerns regarding my POS Mach E GT. I did speak with an attorney who specializes in Lemon law, who advised that I have MORE then enough to give my vehicle back to Ford.

To add to my post: I'm a big believer in first letting the dealer/Ford try to fix the car before slamming the lemon-law hammer down on them. California allows 4 attempts, or a total time of 30-days in the shop, for the lemon law to kick in. You are well beyond letting them trying to do the right thing here.

What did they do to fix it the first two times? Was it the HVBJB? I hope they didn’t just reset the codes and send you on your way.
The first time it happened I was on the highway eight hours from home while enjoying my five year anniversary. We were stranded in a town called Peloton for almost a week due to the part being delayed. They ended up towing my car eight hours away to local dealership where I live where the part was eventually replaced, but not the HVBJB. The second time it happened was beginning this year, with my three-year-old in the car, luckily I was in the next town over where I was able to take surface streets to get to the Ford dealership. The third time has happened was just over two weeks ago while driving through Canyon but nowhere to turn off to call for help. I had at travel at 28 miles an hour 15 miles into the nearest town or a car for a tow truck. Again with my three-year-old in backseat. These are REAL safety concerns that have put my family life’s at Risk. But to answer your question the first time it happened they replace whatever caused the high voltage battery failure the second bunch of lame software updates and a third time is when they replaced HVBJB.
