Those two have been listed on the Tesla site for quite a while now; not sure about Plugshare, though.Surprisingly, Indiana has two now per PlugShare. One just North of Evansville on I-64 and US 41. The other in Washington on the new I-69 and US 50. Washington is the next town/city of any size North of Evansville on I-69.
Yes They committed to 3,500 by year end.I think Clark, NJ just went live if I am reading the Tesla app correctly. This begs the question - will Tesla continue to retrofit magic docks now that the adapter floodgate has opened?
3,500 chargers, not locations.after 53-55 in over a year's time i think they may be just a tad behind schedule. ?
i apologize for sitting on your hobby horse but as long as you're engaging in some maths lets do some maths:3,500 chargers, not locations.
Aassuming 10 per location, they are 16% complete.
I count 55 stations (sites). 564 chargers (stalls).stations delivered so far: 544 (according to supercharge.info)
stations to be delivered: 3500
Kodiakng you sound like someone who has seen delays in lengthy delivery programs.i apologize for sitting on your hobby horse but as long as you're engaging in some maths lets do some maths:
stations delivered so far: 544 (according to supercharge.info)
stations to be delivered: 3500
progress in stations: 15.5%
WH announcement: 2/15/23
tesla announcement: 3/1/23
today: 3/15/24, 380 days after tesla announcement, 394 after WH
rick's deadline: 12/31/24, 671 days after tesla, 685 days after WH
progress in linear time: 56.6% after tesla announced, 55.4% after WH
now, by any measure, only 15.5% progress within 55.4-56.6% of your deadline is "a tad behind schedule" as i said.
a lot (understatement of the year) has happened outside of the magic dock deployment scenario and there was never any specific announcement on how they would provide ALL of the access so tesla may slow the magic dock deployment and just say "done" with however many they get done, and ford and GM delivering adapters.
i'll get off your hobby horse now.
we have a lot of loose semantics - but i try to respond using the same terms someone is engaging me with.I count 55 stations (sites). 564 chargers (stalls).
Semantics, but pretty sure the vast majority of people consider "station" to be the site, like a gas station.
you may need to use the Tesla app, identify the charging stall and press the release icon on the app and the physically do it on the charging stall. You missed one step.So I tried to use a MagicDock for the first time this week (Buc-ees Colorado). Couldn't get the NASC handle to lock to the MD, even holding the lock button for 2+ seconds. I only made a couple of attempts before giving up because the station was 2/3rd full and I was tying up 2 spots, and I was only doing a quick test anyway near home.
I don't know if that charger just had a problem, or I wonder if my Tesla app profile now showing "Have an adapter" overrides the MD and causes it not to lock on? That's a new feature in the app since adapters were turned on Feb 29. I don't actually have an adapter yet but I'd set that up in the app just to be ready for when it arrives. I didn't even think about that when I tried the MD on a whim while we were checking out the new Buc-ees.
Anyone else tried a MD while their Tesla app is set for "Have an adapter"?

Yes I used a magic dock with my app showing have adapter. In fact I did not open the Tesla app, just pushed the button for two seconds, got the dock, plugged in and it works with P&C. did this with my Mach E and with my Rivian. So I tried to use a MagicDock for the first time this week (Buc-ees Colorado).
