I somehow got this impression from reading reviews from Tesla owners, hopefully it's not the case.
Yeah, I mean it’s rated is one of the better touring tires out there like I said Mark told me if you’re not aggressive driving and what not it’s the right tire to get. I’m getting mine a lot less than what they normally sell for and they sell for like $300 apiece so I’m hoping it’s noise rating is as good as our advertising.

Sorry for the naive question but just curious— how do you objectively measure your speed accurately and precisely, while driving, to get those numbers?

How many miles? I'm at 25K now and want to get a new set before winter (experienced hydroplaning the other day, not fun :( )
Aren't you concerned about CC2 road noise?
I'm at 30K on the odometer. Yes I had a brief hydroplane experience last week. Very brief though so I'm not feeling overly sketched out by the condition of my tires. Yet. I think the CC2'S are less noisy than the Pilots and I don't feel the pilots are all that loud.

I'm very curious about the Nokian Remedy tires. Nokian's answer to Hankook's ION EV for SUVs I believe. Both of these tires keep road noise and hydroplaning in mind.

In NH, cops almost never pull you over as long as you are no more 10mph over the limit. In fact, I visited the Department of Safety's website and it actually says, in a round about way, that 10mph over the limit is legal. Been testing that for years and it seems to hold true. ?

At 15 over, I've gotten a thumbs down (i.e. "slow down") but still no ticket. Over 20, handcuffs can enter the equation. So 70 for BC or efficiency and 75-78 for the psychological effect of making better time ?.

Seems to be similar in VA on interstate highways, except in speed trap zones. However, 81 mph or 20 mph over the speed limit gets you a reckless driving ticket. That's not a good thing at all. So I am very careful not to go over 80 mph. Also, I promised my wife I would not exceed 80. (I used to all the time.)

If you could report back after a couple weeks with your impressions (noise and otherwise) I would really appreciate it. I'm in MN and have had CC2s on my Honda Pilot for 3.5 years now. I love them in the winter.

I'll absolutely be replacing the stock Michelins on my MME (currently 25,000 miles) before next winter and the CC2 is high on the list just due to how much I like them on my Pilot.

After 5k+ miles on CC 2 I can say they still remain quiet. I never hear any bad road noises from them

Yep - the Ions.

They are very quiet, and more comfortable than the stock tires especially if you get the 255s and reduce the tire pressure to 34 psi.

As far as efficiency goes, I don't have enough data to answer. They have less grip than the OEM tires, so they are probably more efficient. Efficency is linerally correlated with tire grip, especially wet tire grip. My guess is they are 3-5% more efficient, and that is difficult to measure. I don't trust the car efficiency reading to judge. I am collecting data and will share the results once I have enough data.

But I do like them. I am not thrilled they have less grip, but that will be worth it if they are more efficient.
Less grip is a big turn-off for me.

??to Mark, researched for me so I’m putting those on my car Wednesday and was actually able to sell the stock tires and rims to the store. They got a bargain 500 bucks. I really had no place for the stock wheels and tires at my house and I would probably never use those again.
That's a sweet deal!

I sure will. I’m getting them put on right now and like I said, I’m putting a 255 on instead of the 245. I’m glad I’m not up in Minnesota anymore. My dad used to live up there before he died. The family was from there, I grew up in the upper peninsula on Lake superior thank God I don’t need winter tires down here in Mississippi lol

Covered c50,000 miles on Mich CC2s and hardly noticed any noise difference to the crappy stock summer Contis, they’re wearing well and don’t seem to impact on range though impossible to know for sure as battery range decreases slightly and other imponderables.

So I just got my new tires installed drove them about 20 miles, definitely when you hit bumps. They’re not as harsh. They’re very quiet. I think I just need to run back by the tire store for a slight adjustment. I had a slight of an inch shimmy on the steering wheel, which is really not much, see it out a little bit more .

Update: so I took the car back down to the tire shop this morning and I thought it probably was the front left wheel. So they took it in there and it was the left front. They made the adjustment on it and while was there I had them do an alignment as well because it was pulling to the right. they said the only thing that was off was the rear very slightly, but they adjusted it anyways and didn’t charge me. I can honestly say after driving more than 100 miles on these Michelin cross climate, the smoothest I’ve driven on. The important part is they’re now Wife approved. She said she can’t believe how much smoother the car feels and actually sits up in the air a little higher. I think we’re running 36 pounds.

I decided not to wait for the winter and replace mine now. The last several posts here made this decision even easier. Getting 245/55R19 this Friday.
