I'm about to get the CC2s, just to be clear should the manufacture date be showing on the outside (visible) of all four tires if installed directionally correct?

I registered my CC2s just after purchasing them (and just got the $60 gift card in the mail too) and had the exact same thing, with only two tires having those last four digits. As has been said, these are directional tires so if they are only printed on one particular side I guess we wouldn’t see two of them, unless we looked at the side facing the interior. Hard to do unless you want to crawl under or lift.

Good luck sorting this out. They might have to take it for a ride to reproduce the vibration if it doesn’t show up in the re-balancing.

My DOT codes are all visible on the outside of the tires. 2 of them have the last 4 digits and the other 2 don't.

Just to clarify what I wrote, I am seeing the same thing you are.

Car at Dealer today. Will see what they find out.

As mentioned, the tires were installed during the same visit when they had to fix a braking vibration from warped rotors.

Anyone know if it's possible for the rotors to cause a vibration at certain speeds (when brakes are not engaged)? Pretty sure I still was feeling slight vibration in steering wheel even if in non 1-pedal or in neutral.

Yes @RMoore, just got news today. Michelin and Dealer worked on it and they're going to swap the CrossClimate2s for the Primacy Tour All Seasons. I ended up speaking with a Michelin Supervisor he said he would not recommend the CC2s for a MachE - which is strange because I read a bunch of positive reviews of the CC2s on this forum.

I'm hoping my steering wheel vibration issue goes away when the Primacy tires are installed. Will update this thread then.

Date code only printed one side of CC2s and because they are unidirectional means they only appear on outer wall on one side of car.

just bought two CC2s to cure a steering wheel wobble due to bulge on inner shoulder of one.

So Michelin does not recommend the CC2's for the Mach-E however they are the OEM tire that comes on the Mach-E Rally. That makes a lot of sense. I don't buy that. The CC2 is a great tire and see no reason why you can't run them on the Mach-E like probably hundreds of people do. I don't think that Michelin Supervisor is up to date on his tires.

That said, the Primacy Tour All Season is also a great tire (quieter than the CC2) but they just aren't as good in the snow. Not sure if that is a problem for you or not.

I’ve been running the CC2’s from day one and I’m at 9000 miles. It’s the best set of tires I’ve ever owned and they really look good.

Reckon I’ve done 60,000 miles on CC2s and I quite agree, super tyres and they look like proper tyres.

Unlikely to be the type of tyre causing this and I would’ve thought it more likely to be the condition of the tyre/s, assuming it is tyre/s causing this and not a brake, wheel bearing, wheel balancing or other issue.

Assume you swapped fronts for rears to eliminate the possibility it’s just a defect/damage on front tyre/s.

Had a bulge on the inside shoulder of one of my front tyres causing wheel-wobble at steering wheel until I changed ‘em around awaiting arrival of new tyres when it disappeared.

Please do let us know how you get on?

Anything in the rotating mass could cause this.

Often a tyre fault/damage but a warped disc/rotor, wheel bearing, driveshaft, wheel balancing, even suspension to name but a few things.

Maybe, some tires do have an inside and outside

This is a guess on my part but I don't think the CC2 has an inside and outside. Likely Michelin desingened the tire this way because it's needed so you can properly rotate the tires. To properly rotate directional tires they need to be dismounted and flipped so they maintain the proper rotation direction.
