I switched to CC2 for winter and have about 6-7k on them now. Only say 5-8% range hit.
Had a few storms with over 12”+ inches of snow and they performed excellent in the snow/ice/slush.

Once I got used to it I even leave 1PD driving on now in snow, and the predictable way they break traction is nice too.

I was going to switch back to the LLR OEM but with my laziness I will probably just rotate and run these until they are spent and get another set.

I’m Having the Mich CC2’s I mounted this week. I’m replacing the stock Continentals. The Michelin’s are gonna be 255’s instead of the 245’s, so I’m hoping the slightly taller tire changes nothing. Everything I’ve read about taller tires once moving are more efficient on the road. I know they’ll be slightly wider so that may just negate everything i’m thinking, but doesn’t matter, I don’t need them for efficiency because I just drive around town Mostly. Could throw the speedometer off very slightly, maybe a mile or two difference .
I have 255s (Hankooks) on my GT and the there was a bigger speed difference than I expected. With the OEM 245s, when the speedometer said 80, I was going 79. Now when the speedometer says 79, I am usually going 80 but it flips between 80 and 79, so I am guessing it's off by 0.5-0.75 mph at 79 mph.

It's a big change to flip from slower than speedometer to faster than speedometer, as I like to ride the edge between speeding ticket and not.

Being the guy that used to be on the other side of that radar gun pointing it, that difference in mileage is not gonna make a difference, but I’m doing 72 and actually doing 73. I don’t think there’s anything to sweat. Matter fact down here in Mississippi if you’re not doing over 90 on I 10 they will not pull you over.

Do you have the Ion EV AS SUV tires? If so, how do you like them and how’s the efficiency?

I have the Ion Evo AS SUV tires in factory size, it made no difference in efficiency compared to factory michelins.

Yep - the Ions.

They are very quiet, and more comfortable than the stock tires especially if you get the 255s and reduce the tire pressure to 34 psi.

As far as efficiency goes, I don't have enough data to answer. They have less grip than the OEM tires, so they are probably more efficient. Efficency is linerally correlated with tire grip, especially wet tire grip. My guess is they are 3-5% more efficient, and that is difficult to measure. I don't trust the car efficiency reading to judge. I am collecting data and will share the results once I have enough data.

But I do like them. I am not thrilled they have less grip, but that will be worth it if they are more efficient.

It is the opposite for me. I'm much more concerned with grip and road noise. At the end of a typical winter day I'm usually around 60-70% SoC (I only charge to 85%) and then I'm back on the charger at home. A "long" drive for me is 100 miles round trip. My ER battery is overkill. I just passed inspection (again) in March. My mechanic said my stocks will likely get me through the summer. At that point I'm thinking CC2 or maybe the new Nokian Remedys.

In your situation, the CC2 would be at (or near) the top of my list. As well as some of the tires Mark Boris has tested that he likes.

??to Mark, researched for me so I’m putting those on my car Wednesday and was actually able to sell the stock tires and rims to the store. They got a bargain 500 bucks. I really had no place for the stock wheels and tires at my house and I would probably never use those again.

How many miles? I'm at 25K now and want to get a new set before winter (experienced hydroplaning the other day, not fun :( )
Aren't you concerned about CC2 road noise?

? part of the reason I’m getting these is they are rated very good for noise? I’ll know soon enough. I guess they can’t be any worse than the Continental.

Sorry for the naive question but just curious— how do you objectively measure your speed accurately and precisely, while driving, to get those numbers?

this website where you compare different size tires you can see they tell you the percentage of your speed difference in the two different tires size.

I somehow got this impression from reading reviews from Tesla owners, hopefully it's not the case.
