Quick review from my recent experience getting the HVBJB recall completed ('21 Job 1). History is that in January I had the pano roof, windshield and parking switch recalls completed at Sil Ter Har in Broomfield, CO. It went smoothly except that they missed the junction box on the work order, so hadn't ordered the parts for the junction box, and didn't do it... Their service manager didn't realize until we were arranging the time for the car delivery that the whole reason I had brought it in wasn't done... Properly apologetic about it, but not much to be done about it at that point.
Fast forward a few months, I got a Service Vehicle Soon fault (positive contactor failed test), so needed to get the work done quickly. Car was drivable, but at risk of a failure at any time. SilTerHar was scheduling 30+ days out for the recall work, which wasn't working for me given the fact that I had an active SVS error. They were friendly, but seemed unsympathetic to the fact that the reason I had to schedule a second time was because of them missing the language on their own work order.
Maroone Ford in Longmont was willing to take the car almost immediately (next day), and was very responsive, and seemed to know exactly what the recall work needed and how to get parts. They ended up having a part delay which pushed the work out to 7 business days, and it required a little poking and prodding to get updates, but the team was friendly, and they did get the job done 3 weeks sooner than the other dealer. Car delivery (service valet) worked smoothly as well.
All told, a generally positive experience, with the main criticism being that their initial time estimate was rather optimistic. If I had known it would take 7 biz days at the beginning I would have still done it, but I would have made other personal plans, as it was things were a bit "day by day" which is hard to plan around.
I did receive the Ford card noting the upgraded charging mat, 30k Ford Pass Points, and a $50 gift card notification as thanks for getting the recall work completed. Hopefully the goodies show up soon, and hopefully my junction box won't blow up!
