Nope they specifically didn't do those. I guarantee it.

What the service manager meant was that they do all powertrain updates that the TSB tells them to do.

What we're talking about is a separate bulletin that Ford sent to the dealers saying they would pay the labor to do all the other updates at the time a vehicle was in the shop for the HVJB recall.
OK, service advisor went home sick Monday and was out yesterday. My car has been sitting for a week with zero progress on the insurance claim and bodywork so I was beyond frustrated yesterday. (The dealer pickup driver got rear-ended taking it in on April 1.)

He looked in "his system" and (after I told him about Windows-shift-s) sent me screen shots of what he was seeing and saying the the 5 remaining updates were showing "last updated" on 4/16 around 1:34pm.

They apparently have not closed out the job? Does this screen shot mean they did indeed do all the updates?

EDIT: I just realized the GREEN DOT in the "UPDATE AVAILABLE" column means it was NOT applied, right?

You can't guide yourself by that screen. If you look at the dates on the far right, that is the last day those modules reported themselves to the cloud. It would need to be checked in FDRS to be 100% certain. It may be accurate, but I have learned not to fully trust it and use that as a guide. I don't have access to FDRS now to check, but I can tell you the only modules they updated were these on 4/16 and nothing else has been updated since then.

THANK YOU! I don't know how anybody could look at this and think they actually did the extra 5 updates on the 16th. Which is consistent with the Green "Update Available" dot in the service advisor's screen shot.

I emailed the advisor asking them to confirm in FDRS. I never should have sent in my car for any of the recalls. I'll have been without the car for a month only to give it back to Ford in June. And if I was on the fence before, when the car had a no-damage accident that was already dinging the equity on CarFax, the accident they had on the way to the dealer has me 95% turning it in.

23B50 is the BECM update. I don't see a BECM update in your list but there are other powertrain updates that the tech might do while there since they are all coordinated to update together as a set. Let us know what happens.

Okay he's done. took him 1/2 an hour, said he updated about 5 modules - is that verifiable? Just curious as to where I stand now.

Service advisor insists they were done as of 4/16/23 1:34pm....or the 5 other updates came out since then...or...something something and won't get it hooked back up to FDRS to check.

I'm on the phone with Ford now - a BEV post-sales person who doesn't seem to understand any of this but he called and spoke to the same service advisor so pretty much repeated everything the service advisor said. I am now holding while he consults somebody else to see if the CMR, IPMA, PSCM, DSP, and the WACM updates have been applied or not.

And after about an hour...."sometimes the updates don't show up right away."

I am unconvinced. I shouldn't even care about this given I'm almost certainly going to have about 2 more months with the car but I just can't let ish go sometimes. But that's a me problem.

Hello,
Can anyone look into VIN# 3FMTK1SS1MMA35303.
Had the dealership figure out the 12 volt was bad and was stopping it from getting updates. Had 21G01 done to activate BlueCruise, but it never activated and is still showing coming soon in the fordpass app. Hoping someone might be able to help.

You're asking the dealer to perform 4-5 hours worth of module updates for free. Ford is not going to pay them to update the modules. That is the reason you are getting resistance. No tech is going to want to sit through a 3 hour IPMA update and a 1 hour CMR update and not get paid for his time.

Do you have FORScan?

I thought Ford was paying for all the updates when the car was in for the HVBJB?

If it's as you say, I wouldn't be upset if the service advisor said "those updates are not called for by any of the recall work we did" instead of 1) telling me when I set up the appointment that they do "every last update after the HVBJB recall" and 2) telling me those specific updates were applied on 4/16 when the info you and others have graciously provided indicates otherwise.

I've heard that mentioned around here, but I don't know how that translates in the real world. I'm just speaking from the perspective of a dealer employee.

No, nor a ODB reader. Any particular one you would recommend?

Also they replaced the battery and as far as I know the car is up to date. I had someone check it on the forums after they did the service and it was and we have been getting ota's. Just not getting BlueCruise at this point.

FORScan is a program you simply download to a laptop. You need to buy a cable to connect to the car. Something like an OBDLink EX will work well.

Give me until tomorrow to confirm that it is what I think it is. If it is, you will need FORScan to fix it, but I asked if you had it because your car is reporting a lot of codes. I was going to ask you to clear them all out to see if they come back or not.

This is the one I use:
