Spacey - How would you compare the overall quality of your British Ford to the quality of an MG car of the same era?I've had this on one of my rear passenger doors, which was fixed under warranty last year. (June 2021 build). Honestly, Ford, can't you make cars anymore. You've only been doing this for more than 100 years. What with all the other recalls and issues, windshield (windscreen) replacement, glass roof resealing, HVJB recall, squeaks and rattles etc this may be my one and only new Ford car purchase.
My dad used to have a Ford Cortina (UK) in 1978 - 1984 in which time it became a rot box shed with split sills, non working wipers, manual gearbox which jumped out of third gear and the stick had to be held down to change into fourth and the camshaft self destructed. This while all being serviced on time. He vowed never to have a Ford again and his experience rubbed off on to me. It was known as the Dagenham dustbin. (When Ford used to manufacture cars there).
I thought I would give Ford a go this time as surely they've improved after all these years?
