Powertrain updates do provide incremental improvements, but as to how much a given update might improve suspension specifically I wouldn't know that.
Yep, and it also depends on what @jdeve means by “improve.” A change one way may be a non-improvement (anti-improvement?) for you but an improvement for me. ?‍♂?

List of modules pending updates is below. In reality, there are more than what this list is showing because certain module updates must be installed in sequence for more updates to show up as available. This list do not include APIM, GWM, TCU or IPC updates that you are also needing to be fully up to date.

Your car is on the latest Sync. Modules pending updates are below. The dealer does not update modules just because an update is pending. Ford does not pay them labor hours to perform module updates unless there is a problem a specific update will fix.

Thanks!

I hope the flag on the ABS system doesn’t mean my brakes are going to fail. ?

What I mean by improve... I am asking is it working at all? Is it working a little or working the way it is supposed to be working? From my understanding the Magneride suspension control module determines the amount of damping and makes adjustments 1000's of times/second based on driver input, steering angle, braking latteral accelleration and road. . On a smooth flat road the ride the shocks should move softly. Going into a corner they should firm up. My experience is on a reasonably smooth road and small bumps at 25mph or wavy road with a small dips the suspension feels really confused as to what to do. Can be quite jarring or bouncy even when you don't expect it. Sometimes even 10mph navigating a parking lot. Is it possible I have a broken Magneride? I wouldn't have a problem with it having a Mustang GT like suspension like my 2017 Mustang GT premium. I find it much worse. Does it really have to be so stiff at parking lot or neighborhood speeds? Isn't that the point of the Magneride?

The OTA process has been good to you. You show you got 6.14.0 as well as many of the PU updates. Modules still pending updates are below.

Could someone run my VIN and see if I have any outstanding updates? Dealer says they can’t “push” any OTA Sync stuff. I had 5.1.1 “completed” before taking into dealer, left with 5.1.1 now “not complete” and no further OTA’s in a week.

3FMTK3SU9PMA58572

I just got the car new April 5th.
@rugedraw would you be kind and willing to help look mine up?

Magneride wasn’t developed to create a corner carver out of a luxury car. Its original intent was to be able to handle diverse road conditions within a certain group of parameters. It should be able to adjust to a softer setting when the road upheaves in a way that would otherwise unload the tires at the peak, allowing to tires to remain loaded by compressing and extending the suspension. Likewise it should stiffen the suspension in some situations, all in an attempt to maintain better road control. ??

Personally, I find the suspension too soft overall, whether the car is in Whisper or Unbridled. Additionally the steering is a bit numb and a little vague. I do not find that the car seems confused. ?‍♂?

I think I would have the car checked out. ??

Your car is on Sync 23031, so you need several APIM and GWM updates as well as TCU and at least one IPC update to be fully updates on top of what you see below.

@rugedraw I don’t even pretend to know what that means, but last week the dealer told me all module updates that could be done, were done. They then told me no further Sync updates could be done, that Ford has to send OTA.

so I have no idea?

Ford does not pay dealers to perform module updates, so you will almost always get some BS when you ask them.

It is possible based on your Sync version that you are not showing any more Sync updates. I would need FDRS to confirm that. If that is the case, there is nothing the dealer can do to update your APIM, GWM, TCU or IPC, but they can still do the other modules. If you ever decide to go the FDRS route, I may be able to help with the Sync updates you are missing. Otherwise, there is nothing you can do but wait for the updates to come in.

What do I need to do go the FDRS route? Can I pay you or do I buy something?

I don't charge anything for anything. Everything you need to know about FDRS is on the first post here:

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ach-e-with-fdrs-alternative-to-forscan.10217/

Assuming you already have or can borrow a windows based laptop, the only expensive thing is the Mongoose cable that's $540. If you don't want to buy one, lmk and I can add you to the list to borrow one of mine for no charge here:

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...mming-vehicle-interface-lending-thread.13145/

Since you're willing to entertain the FDRS idea, here is what FDRS is showing for you. As I suspected, you aren't showing the right updates available to be able to fully update. I have the resources to help in most cases, but FDRS is necessary. To be clear: I am not saying your car will not get any more updates nor am I saying the updates you aren't showing right now will not eventually show. All I am saying is that it will take a VERY long time before you're up to date.

It looks like you have to purchase a license. I didn't see how much it costs for the license. How much is the license?
