They won't update any of that unless one or more of those will correct a specific complaint you have about the car's performance or functions, or there's some TSB or CSP that directs them to update some of those at Ford's expense. And the only service program I'm seeing for your car at present is the one about the door hem paint inspection (24N05).???
Should I just take it to a dealer?
Oh wow, and is there any info on 4.2.3? Like release notes?@4o4eror
You car just told me that it has a gateway update OTA pending and it will download the next time you go out for a drive. It says it's OTA 4.2.3.
So after you park...hit the check updates button and then find and select "Update Now" to knock that out. Takes 10 minutes.
No not really...it's just a gateway update...which normally leads to something bigger coming later.Oh wow, and is there any info on 4.2.3? Like release notes?
Oh okay, i have been trying to get my charging system update to accept Tesla superchargers. I just cant seem to get it. Thought this would get it.No not really...it's just a gateway update...which normally leads to something bigger coming later.
The gateway is the car's network router for lack of a better term. So when they tweak the settings in the gateway it's normally for the purposes of providing some new functionality for some other update that will show up after that (Like an APIM "Sync" update).
That would be an OBCC update you're looking for.Oh okay, i have been trying to get my charging system update to accept Tesla superchargers. I just cant seem to get it. Thought this would get it.
What is this? Is this what you think the dealer is seeing on his car?
Yes you're correct I'm in Sweden. Not seeing any SSN for that VIN.
And this VIN is a US VIN....and you're in Sweden?
Do I have that right?

A huge help for me in preparation for my upcoming HVJB recall visit to the dealer. I'll be sure to mention to them that Ford has said they'll cover the cost of doing the module updates and insist they do them at the same time I have my vehicle at their service center. Thanks!
I took my car into the dealer this week to have the HVBJB recall work done. I had printed out the list of updates Mike had obtained for my car and showed it to the service advisor. I told him that Ford would cover the costs for doing all of the updates on the list while the recall work was being done. The advisor said "NO", that they will only do the few updates required for the HVBJB recall, but will not do any of the other (10+) outstanding updates for my vehicle unless my vehicle has a issue requiring a specific update. My vehicle is still under warranty.Mike: Thanks so much for taking the time to run a FDRS scan for my vehicle and posting the results. That’s what I’ve seen while programming my own car. I can well imagine the “codes” they are seeing while they are doing his updates. If you’re not familiar with what happens when you’re updating a Mach-E I would imagine some of the errors and alerts might take you by surprise and leave you with the impression you just broke the customer’s car. And then they start trying to diagnose all those errors, when all they really need to do is clear and retest to get everything green again. What is this?
