Where I live one of the main roads is about a 4 mile Road, neighborhoods on each side, it’s 2 lane, 45 miles an hour, but it’s really bumpy, but it’s a good shortcut to anywhere downtown. When I left home today, I put it in the engage mode and to tell you the truth the bumps actually felt softer driving that road I’ve never had it in that mode before because I always thought whisper would be the best but I’m thinking of leaving it and engaged. Plus It gives you that numerical indication of your regeneration. The good thing about this car is that regardless of the mode you use it'll maximize your efficiency, so just drive in the mode you like the best!
Do you have a GT or GTPE?Where I live one of the main roads is about a 4 mile Road, neighborhoods on each side, it’s 2 lane, 45 miles an hour, but it’s really bumpy, but it’s a good shortcut to anywhere downtown. GT, I know the steering is tighter, but it definitely feels different on these bumps cause I drive this road every day so it’s not a mind thing because I always thought engaged would be rougher. Anyways, I feel smoother which is OK.Do you have a GT or GTPE?
If it’s a GT, the drive mode doesn’t affect the suspension.
What you may be feeling is the difference in the steering feel and throttle response.
It may feel different, but it has nothing to do with the suspension in a GT. Every mode is identical.GT, I know the steering is tighter, but it definitely feels different on these bumps cause I drive this road every day so it’s not a mind thing because I always thought engaged would be rougher. That’s interesting. I currently use Unbridle exclusively which may be why I don't see it. When I got the car 3+ years ago, it never showed regardless of mode in 1PD. My Lightning shows brake coach in 1PD which I thought was strange, so I bet you’re right - it was changed by a software update at some point.I have to disagree with that because when I put it in engage, I’m always in one pedal in the brake coach pops up and says how much you’ve regenerated now if you’re not seeing that maybe that is a result of one of the updates because I have had no updates, but I’m pretty sure I’m correct here. Somebody help me out, lol back me up
The best braking system to use is the one the driver is most comfortable with. For me that’s 1pd. For others it’ll be 2pd. Hopefully it works out as planned for everyone.I guess I haven’t used 2 pedal enough to realize it!
I guess because my number one activity is Golf I just love the golf cart feel and I’m used to it unless someone stops hard in front of me I never use the brake on a golf cartThe best braking system to use is the one the driver is most comfortable with. For me after the car sit today and it was wet out. I see rust on the rotors. I just drive one pedal and drive normal. If I have to hit the brake, I do if I don’t have to I don’t hit the break but when I stop, the rust is gone. I don’t know about the better miles per kilowatt hour but I can see this with that program from my insurance company. I always got points off for heartbreaking in my regular car since I’ve had this my percentage of discount has gone way up compared to my ICE vehicle. If there is regen with both one pedal and two pedal then how are you able to knock the rust off the rotors with two pedal? I always brake very slowly when using two pedal but use two pedal when I want to clean the rotors. I love one pedal.
Is there better miles per kwh with either option?
UsaaAm I allowed to ask which insurance company gives your discount??
By doing a hard brake that exceeds the max slowing capability of regen and forces the friction brakes to kick it for additional slowing. If there is regen with both one pedal and two pedal then how are you able to knock the rust off the rotors with two pedal? The best way is to place the car in N and apply brakes. I have a long downhill as I leave my house that I occasionally do this on and I drive in 2 PD.If there is regen with both one pedal and two pedal then how are you able to knock the rust off the rotors with two pedal?
