Model year or calendar year?2024
Calendar. Battery is made in China which disqualifies it under the new restrictions.Model year or calendar year?
Well, if that's really the case, I need to have a little discussion with my salesman. I was led to believe that my 2023 Mach-E qualified for the federal tax credit.Calendar. Battery is made in China which disqualifies it under the new restrictions.
This is why many of the dealerships tell potential buyers to consult with their tax advisors and don't make promises. There are a number of reasons that someone may not qualify even if the MME was eligible, like tax burden or income restrictions or whatever.Well, if that's really the case, I need to have a little discussion with my salesman. I was lead to believe that my 2023 Mach-E qualified for the federal tax credit.![]()
If you leased it there is a loophole apparently and they still qualify.Well, if that's really the case, I need to have a little discussion with my salesman. I was lead to believe that my 2023 Mach-E qualified for the federal tax credit.![]()
Hmm...Whatever. Do you get off by going on forums and instructing people on what is right and wrong? Jag posts like this drive people away. Clearly this is not a safe place to vent if it is not worded perfectly for geniuses like you.
We paid a premium for these vehicles, Ford says stuff is coming and doesn't deliver. People come here to vent and discuss, then get lectured. Thanks for the lecture, really valuable.
Since the adapters are merely passive and only have temp sensor built in, they don't have any intelligence built in, I'd say it's impossible for either the charger or the vehicle to tell which brand adapter is being used. Not sure it's even possible, as I noted. It does detect whether it's locked, although that might just be some physical connection inside the adapter that completes a circuit. I would guess the charger can't tell otherwise, but who knows.
I'm not so sure liability really matters either. That would assume that Tesla/Ford would accept liability and pay if something goes wrong while using an official adapter, but I have doubts about that.
If you lease it, the tax credit goes to Ford, not you, so it's deducted from the cost, but you don't apply for it. Just clarifying for others. If you leased it there is a loophole apparently and they still qualify.
Right. I was talking about purchase, but leasing still has the loophole that allows it to qualify AFAIK.If you leased it there is a loophole apparently and they still qualify.
The professors will be publishing case-studies on this. You think MBAs write theses? Most people in business school don’t even go to class half the time. It’s just all about networking and getting a job, preferably going on some trips when you can
But make sure it is, in fact, deducted! If you lease it, the tax credit goes to Ford, not you, so it's deducted from the cost, but you don't apply for it. Just clarifying for others.
Who will read them? The professors will be publishing case-studies on this.
The bots MBA students use to study for exams.Who will read them?
Yes, but it's PPV so not sure if it would be worth it.I heard they are going to duke it out MMA style.
