Hi all,

I’m having problem with IPMA (GVMS data warning present).
The problem I have is TSB 23-2057 and I have tried to follow that Bulletin, but I can’t clear the error. Any ideas?

My VIN is WF0TK4SXXMME01627

Hmm still no go, going to do CMR and the other 2 long modules and loop back around to it later.

I also did receive any updates to sync or anything after updating gateway. Is that normal?

Was hoping for Tesla Plug and Charge.
Are you saying you did, or did not, receive an update after doing the gateway?

The OBCC is where the Tesla charger compatibility would be enabled...

You're right. You won't be able to clear that error. It's server-side.

Your IPMA software revision is the same as the one on my '23 GT (-ACJ).

The GVMS error exists because Ford are using that method to keep techs from updating specific modules...even if you don't have an available update for that module anyway.

Selecting the DTC in PTS and then going to the diagnostics tab shows that maybe a 360 camera alignment might be a good idea.
Ford Mustang Mach-E The Complete DIY Guide to Updating Your Mach-E with FDRS IPMA_360_Camera_Alignment

That procedure is done with FDRS as well. From the Toolbox tab select the IPMA from the modules listed on the left side and then look for "IPMA - 360 View Camera Alignment" on the list of tools on the right side and then download and run that. Be prepared to drive around with the laptop in an empty parking lot so the system can see all the lines, the more lines it sees the faster the alignment completes.

Did not*, just had all the modules I posted the other day. Nothing new came in while I did updates.

I did update OBCC, so I guess Tesla Plug and Charge might be working just won’t list in my Navigation until sync gets the updates?

I've read elsewhere on this forum that the "Public Charging" app that comes with Sync 1122 has the Tesla chargepoints in it. I cannot confirm this as I don't use the Public Charging or the Charge Assist it originally derived from. I didn't find it useful...can't use it while in motion...and as far as the EA stations it wouldn't show any chargers with more than a 150kw capability. Meaning if there were any 350kw chargers open or available..you'd never know it.

Unfortunately, we are not able to help with the updates you are missing at this time. Apparently, Ford is trying to block the avenue my contact uses to help people in your situation where the next update they need to progress through the process is not showing for them.

This REALLY pisses me off. I just don't understand it. What reason could they possibly have to try and prevent us from helping people? It's nonsensical and just plain asinine. Instead of focusing on the real problems, they're focusing their time and energy into stopping us from helping the community out. Countless hours spent daily combing multiple forums with nothing but good intentions and all they want to do is throw speed bumps and road blocks in front of the people helping the community.

I'm getting sick and tired of this shit.

Consistent voluntary work is often greatly appreciated by recipients yet it also often threatens existing, long established business and social order structures... a key phenomenon well known across successful NGO efforts.

Carry on and innovate!

Yea, but who is being punished here? Certainly not me. Most likely not you. It's everyone we're trying to help that's getting symbolically sodomized.

I'm not going to speak on the subject anymore. This will get lost among the hundreds of pages in this thread sooner than later anyway. Let them figure it out.

That is unfortunate, but I appreciate you checking and all your help! IMO I don’t really get why SYNC updates can’t just be forced, or installed with a USB and download off the website like in the old days.

On the bright side. My trunk is now fixed and Blue Cruise is much smoother, less ping pong, and faster lane changes. (BC 1.4 equivalent?).

Maybe I’ll finally get an OTA with the GWM updated now. But if not I have all the tools now, so fill check FDRS again in a couple months.

Ahh. Really just want plug and charge. Not that using the Tesla app is really an inconvenience.

A few things to know based my most recent weekend FDRS session.

thing 1
My Clore PL6100 power supply died after the first module update... Being impatient, I hooked up a 44A 12v server power supply and kept going. It sagged to 11.6V when all pumps were running, but it did succeed. It finished the APIM update in 3 ish hours.

Ford expects the 12v system to be held at 13+ volts during programming so I was very nervous that the APIM would brick, but it did succeed. Not recommending you do this, but there is a little margin on the 12v rail. I'll get the Clore fixed or replaced before I do that again.

thing 2
The FDRS script for the RFA update is broken. It tells you to turn off the car while it is communicating with the module which breaks the session. PAAK is rock solid for me so I'm not too worried about it not being updated but this is the first module I've come across personally where the script is clearly wrong.

thing 3
BC is WAAAY better with current code. no ping pong, stays engaged with crappy striping and is very smooth steering. definitely worth the FDRS session time. Now I need to dig into FORSCAN to figure out how to turn on the lane change option. Anyone have success with this? please share.
