Your car is about two revs behind on Sync. Not too bad.

You still have a TCU update available to apply even though it looks like the tech did update the GWM, APIM, and TCU multiple times (the last times being the 9th of July).

I believe there are some dependencies at work here and you're not going to get totally caught up until other things like the powertrain updates and other stuff like the cruise control related modules and really everything else are brought up current. They can't just focus on getting your APIM (Sync) to the most current level...it doesn't work that way.

But the problem is...and it's been said many times before, Ford aren't paying the dealer techs to get cars and trucks 'caught up'. They are paying them to do updates under warranty when one of those updates would solve a problem the owner is having with their vehicle.

Your OTA dashboard showing the history for the last 60 days:
3FMTK4SXXNMA47660-6-Aug-24OTA.webp

Your list of available software showing in FDRS:
3FMTK4SXXNMA47660-6-Aug-24.webp

And a recent snapshot of your vehicle health showing a short list of DTCs your car is reporting (not too bad actually):
3FMTK4SXXNMA47660-6-Aug-24VHA.webp

It has been brought up before somewhere else on this forum but I'm curious to know how they got away with selling a GT-PE with summer tires that are clearly not rated for the well-below zero temps that you would expect to experience where you live. On another forum a tech took pictures of a GT-PE customer's tires that were all cracked and he was asking about warranty replacement. Given the location of this car the answer came back that it was doubtful that they would be replaced under warranty due to this verbiage in the owner's manual:

Thanks Mike G for the very comprehensive details on the VIN. Been pondering my next moves to get the MME current on all functional areas. I've a firmware/hardware engineer type of many year. In my world down-level code is not ideal, when an issue appears, Support/Development usually advise next step is "update".
As you noted, the Ford dealer won't take this on unless I can identify an issue related to a missing update & I'm not going to make up stuff. As you documented the last dealer update of "GWM, APIM, and TCU multiple times" which you noted via FDRS (?), took the Ford technician 7.5hrs. My wife not happy with me on that update, as she lost the more functional user interface as the horizontal rectanglar buttons were dumbed down to a square button version with less functionality.
The way forward for me now looking as FDRS license, Mongoose-Plus, PL6100 then I can update the 2022 GT P. & our 2024 Lincoln GT. Plus any neighbours vechiles in an "update party". Perhaps all costs buried as an Early Xmas present for the Wife? Ha-ha.
PS: The Summer Tires, for Winter time, will buy four new 20" rims, TPMS + Michelin winter tires. 1st dealer quote CAD$3,300 + 13%.

You show a lot of network errors going back the last 60 days (they start with the letter "U"). When you take it to the dealer don't be surprised if they end up diagnosing a failing 12V battery as the culprit. It's a possibility.
Thanks alot Mike G. This was extremely helpful!

Well, I couldn't stand the suspense, so I decided to go ahead and install the IPMA and PSCM updates that appeared yesterday for my 2021 Job2 Premium RWD MME. Total installation time by FDRS was just under 2 hours with no drama. The only issue is that the installation removed the IPMA configuration updates I had done previously with ForScan to activate "BC 1.4", so the Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning sliders wouldn't engage after today's updates. However, with a quick session in ForScan, I replaced the configuration bits, and those sliders are now working. I believe I have finally achieved the long-awaited BC 1.3 now available for MY 22 and 23 MME's.

The car is now on Sync 22228, so you'd still need several, APIM, GWM, TCU and one or two IPC updates before you're fully up to date,

Did you reboot Sync after doing the update or just did an initial check and straight to Forscan to make the changes again?

Yes, I rebooted Sync first, and when that didn't restore the ability of those sliders to activate, I went into ForScan, where I noticed that the IPMA configuration items had changed. Once I changed them back to the previous values, I rebooted Sync again, and all was good.

Would anyone mind running this again today. I got in and got a bunch of "Rear brake assist failure" errors in a row. I think I've had it before but when I first got the car.

However after a short drive, I got 4.2.1.2 update, and I'm wondering if perhaps the car was just running a bunch of updates as its never re-appeared later in the day.

These are the codes it reported today. It reported these codes before the OTA and has not reported anything after, but these codes are not new to your car. I looked through all the referenced SSM's and TSB's and the one attached is the only one that mentioned anything about the brakes. I can't say for sure this is the cause of the issue, though. The other attached TSB if from the APIM code that cites " may exhibit various driver assistance system warning messages or inoperative features and/or diagnostic trouble codes" so that may be applicable, too.

You mentioned you car has done this before and like I said, these codes are not new. IMO? Whatever happened today was not due to the OTA.

Thank you sir, the 23-2040 seems to match. At least an IPMA update may fix.

It did it before a while ago, but at the time I wasn't aware it was an error code and not just one of the various popups it done. The car was still new to me.

Does it have anything else pending/trying to download currently out of curiosity? It seems such an odd old update to come along haha but I'm in the UK and I know we sometimes have to wait a while until Ford push stuff out again.

There were no other active OTA's. I'm sure there are modules pending updates, but I didn't check that. Give be a bit and I'll edit this post with what you have pending when I get back to my computer.

Thank you @rugedraw !!

It's certainly ran quite a few in the last two days! With a few more to go. I might take it a longer run and see if I can't encourage it along.

Could someone please check my Mach-E for OTA's and pending updates and see if there are any error codes. My 12v battery completely died and all kinds of errors and strange things happened after the car was boosted. The battery has since been replaced and everything seems to be working now. Just curious if there are any updates that need to be done. Thanks so much for the services you are providing. VIN 3FMTK3SU5PMA82139

OTA process has been good to you as far as Sync updates; you've gotten 6.14.0 so you have the latest Sync software. However, it has left many of the other ancillary modules behind. Vehicle has a healthy OTA history and is getting updates, but still missing a lot.

Battery stats reported to the server are 97% charge and 13.5 volts, but the car is reporting low voltage codes frequently. I don't have a good explanation for that, tbh. Maybe they didn't reset the BMS after putting the new battery in? Not sure why the contradicting info.

Thanks for the information. And what does sync 22228 mean?
