Yeah I've got these in an Amazon wish list just in case! The second item is the refill kit.

Slime Flat Tire Puncture Repair Kit, Pro-Series, Emergency Kit for Car Tires, Includes Sealant and Tire Inflator Pump, Suitable for Cars and Other Highway Vehicles, 6 min fix https://a.co/d/bUKGE4J

Slime 10179 Flat Tire Repair Kit (Sealant Refill) https://a.co/d/bArFguN

Slime 50122 Flat Tire Puncture Emergency Kit, Includes Sealant and Tire Inflator Pump, Analog, Suitable for Cars and Other Highway Vehicles, 10 Min Fix https://a.co/d/9gvaXrq
those are nice options - the "refill" above is a full kit that includes an inflator hose and everything.

i advise caution for anyone that tries to just refill the bottle in the ford provided kit. the hose can easily get clogged when used and i never figured out a way to clear it. you'll probably need the full kit from ford or just swap to this slime model since its cheaper.

@waternut13134 do you think they retaliated because they saw you parked in a handicapped spot? Did you have a handicapped plate or hanging placard displayed? Maybe they didn't see it? Or maybe they thought your car was too nice for a disabled person to have? I assume you weren't taking up two spots or anything because that can be another trigger. It's also possible you have the same car as someone else that made them mad.

For a roadside repair I carry a tire plugs kit and 12 v compressor. For the permanent fix I like to use a plug& patch.

If you can, I would get a new tire. I think it’s better to roll on a brand new tire because of the fact that MachE’s don’t have spares.
I've picked up 3 screws so far in my MachE tires. All 3 have been patched with no issues. I've probably had 8-10 tires patched over the years, all problem free. As long as you're not too close to the sidewall, patches work great.

Most car manufacturers recommend replacing tires in pairs to keep the diameters similar. I believe some AWD vehicles recommend replacing all 4 tires at the same time. If you're halfway through a set of tires, why not try a $20-$30 tire patch first before dropping $500+ on tires?

Nice thing about an EV is that the front and rear drivetrains are not mechanically connected, so replacing in pairs isn’t a problem. A patch is still better than $250!

Im not sure, Yes I have a handicap placard in the Window and the only way you can get into the handicap area is via the placard or car tag as they have employees check before they let you get into that lot (My father is disabled so we have the placard and wheelchair). All in the parking spot so not taking up multiple lanes (My pet peeve is not parking in the lines).

Im hoping to get a follow up with the officer on Monday to see if they got the Tesla owner as they did put a warrant out but its not felony so im not sure how much effort they will be putting into it.

Something I did not expect was a phone call from someone at Disney asking me what happened and informed me they were also investigating the incident and they will be following up with the Sheriffs office to see what they are doing etc. From my understanding Disney is going to confirm that a law was broken and a person will be arrested and once thats confirmed they will be banned from Disney ALL property and their pass will be canceled. Which for me is justice enough lol

So have a very interesting story, As we were leaving Disney today we saw a security guard behind my car and then a sheriff's deputy pulls up as i'm walking back to my car, I see the guard at my door and when I get to the car I ask him what's going on, He told me that a family stopped him and let him know that the people that just parked next to me that are driving a Tesla mind you got out of the car and a lady from the back seat came out and took something and stabbed my tire and when she saw the family (the witness) watching her, she quickly put it back in the car and they quickly grabbed their stuff and went into the park. Thank God the security guard was smart and collected the family's info for the deputy as he asked me if I wanted to press charges and I said you bet your ass I do. Luckily the Tesla is registered to an address that is local and in the same county and apparently the witness took a picture of the lady so they have a clear image of who it was. So they will be following up with the Tesla owners in the next day or so to pursue charges of vandalism. Ive seen ICE drivers do stuff like this to EVs but I would of NEVER in 100 years thought another EV owner would be malicious towards another EV owner and it wasn't like we were charging, we were legit in a parking spot.

So now on to my question, I used the tire repair kit and inflated the tire enough to get me to a pepboys as everyone else was already closed and the employee at Pep Boys told me that once a tire has any sort of fix a flat in it they can no longer patch a tire and it must be replaced and of course the tire was $250 and they have to order it.

Can anyone confirm if this is true or was he just blowing smoke to make a tire sale?

The hole in on the treads, maybe 1 inches from the side wall and the size is maybe 2MM if that it appears she used something like a nail file etc it was super small.

Just trying to prepare for either a $250 tire or a $25 fix. I'm hoping for the latter since the car has less than 2K miles on it.
If it is in the sidewall, then it can be patched temporarily, but the forces on a sidewall when turning might cause a blowout.
Most tire repair companies will not patch a sidewall puncture.

Just to clarify, do you mean that you can replace just one tire if needed? Or do you still have to replace both tires on the same axle if only one tire is bad?

I replaced the pair. There is a differential in each motor that could be sensitive to mismatched diameters.

I'm pretty impressed by law enforcement and disney in this whole nightmare. Thing is that misdemeanor warrant will stay in the system so if they get pulled over for any reason they'll have issues.
