I don't know how to answer that, but my adapter has a May 10, 2024 date code in its S/N. Maybe we can gather those data points to get a rough idea of the timeframe involved. ??
I received the letter and my date code is May 31 2024

I don't know if this has been discussed or not. But I got an adapter second hand. I believe it's part of the recalled batch. Anyone have any ideas or how to get it switched out?

If you are not the original owner it was sent to, you will not get a replacement. I don't think they have to accommodate your situation since it's not an official safety recall, it's a goodwill program. The person that owns the car that was originally sent for will get the replacement.

You should have ordered your own adapter with your VIN if you haven't yet.

Spent some quality time on the phone with the Customer Relationship and Concerns team this morning....for an idea of what most of that sounds like you can have a listen here.

First went to customer service, then the concerns team and then sent to parts and accessories and then back to concerns team.

Turns out that the emails came out from corporate, but the concerns team didn't get the trickle down so they have no real info and are investigating up the chain to get further 'clarity'. First they heard about it was when calls started coming in. I'm supposed to get a call back later today once more is known on how to tell which of my two adapters is bad. Or whatever further info they may have at that point.

Clearly, this took the concerns team by total surprise. Happy Monday!

When did you folks get your first adapter? I just got mine last week. I wonder if it's affected by this recall.

I think they should publish a list of affected date codes. We’re kinda assuming all the adapters made in May are affected but the beginning and end dates are unclear.

Wonder how many people that couldn't wait bough them second hand. They're just out of luck now.

Date code for mine is May 23 and it has been recalled. My adapter from Rivian has a date code of May 17, but no recall from Rivian yet. I got my Ford adapter in June and the Rivian adapter a few weeks later in July.

Compared to the hollow, light weight Tesla made for Ford adapter, I put it away months ago and never used it.

Not surprised the Ford adapter is being recalled - at least mine is....

A2Z Typhoon OG and Pro are what I use every couple of days since April.
A2Z has the solid feel that has never failed me yet.
I hefted my nephew's adapter, which came to him as he's a Rivian owner. It was solid and had much more weight than I expected.

Glad I have the Lectron adapter then. 1200 miles in to our trip and zero issues. Charging here at a Tesla Supercharger in Ogden, Utah. Heading for Bryce Canyon today.

1434343-00-D is the batch that’s being replaced.
The lady from the BEV team called me back before she went off shift and told me that number was the one they want back.
As for why only one email was sent? It might have something to do with the fact that the replacements are being sent out in the same order number sequence the original ones shipped in.
You will get a replacement and it will come with a return shipping label for your original one to be sent back.
Got two adapters in the bad batch? You’ll get two replacements.
