Somehow missed the email on Friday, and had to “lol” at the shipping soon part when I saw it. They had to get so specific with such an ambiguous term.

here we go again ?

90021168 I got a tracking number last Fri and arrived Mon
Thanks! I'm 29885. At ~3,000/month I'm 3 weeks out with ~8700 before me. With the recalled adapters... maybe 5-6 weeks out. I hope Tesla can figure out how to produce these adapters faster.

So, let me see if I got this right: Those of us still waiting our NACS adapter (first promised to be delivered last June, then September, now November) will be delayed even more because Ford has asked Tesla to replace those already acquired by Ford from Tesla to give to Mach-e owners...Meanwhile, Ford threatens those using functional adapters from other manufacturers that your warranty will be voided if you use the working one, even tho Ford-provided overheats and may fry your charge port? Now I am starting to get skeptical.

When did you folks get your first adapter? I just got mine last week. I wonder if it's affected by this recall.
Unless you’ve received an email the answer is no. Those recalled so far were built in late May into June and delivered in June. No recalls outside that group have been seen yet.

I don't know if this has been discussed or not. But I got an adapter second hand. I believe it's part of the recalled batch. Anyone have any ideas or how to get it switched out?

That adapter may have been built in late May (May 27) and within or near those known to be recalled. I’d try calling customer service and ask to be connected with the BEV te and plead your case. Alternatively, you could try contacting whomever sold you the adapter for a refund or replacement. But personally I’d consider writing it off if you can’t get Ford to replace it for you and buy a third party adapter.

Ford hasn't threatened anyone. Use of any adapter does NOT void your warranty. People these days see crap on the internets and think it is valid.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Ever used non-OEM brake pads? Wiper blades? Air or oil filters? Manufacturer has to prove that a non-OEM part has caused the failure of a warrantied part.

Think of how many people are using non-OEM car chargers....

Please show us where Ford threatened anyone about using any adapter.

There are no threats by Ford.

Those that are waiting for theirs will be receiving an updated part that won't get recalled.
Ford was the first manufacturer to gain access to Tesla SC and the first to offer free adapters.
Look at the other brands making you BUY an adapter (GM).

As @RickMachE stated, use of 3rd party Tesla adapters (A2Z and Lectron) are covered under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - these adapters are passive w/ thermal sensor built in - that's all.

I have been using A2Z since April very heavily (5-6x month) as Tesla Superchargers are more convenient and have no lines; plus cheaper than charging at home.

Don't worry about a PASSIVE device since there's no active voltage translation.

I love Ford EVs - they are the best and have the best customer service bar none.....

Just to make sure this gets maximum visibility.....

After talking with a rep from the BEV team yesterday afternoon who gave me updated information....regardless of the serial number or manufacture date, if your adapter carries part number

(P) 1434343-00-D

it's being replaced. No matter whether you've only gotten one email so far, (if you have two adapters) if both of them have that part number they will be replaced, and shipped out to you in the same shipment sequence the original adapters were sent.

You will receive a prepaid return label with the replacement for the defective one to be sent back.

The defective adapters seem to have been made during the last two weeks of May.
