I had parked my 2023 Mach-E California Route in my garage and put the charger on. The car was 50% already charged.
The next day in the morning, I removed the charging cord. I tried to open the door and no response. All doors were dead.
After trying several things, I called the dealership and they asked me to call the roadside assistance services.
The guy came and was unable to do anything. I was able to open the trunk and crawl inside to open the back door manually by sliding the back seats.
After doing that, all the doors start opening with the push button. There was no light on the push button.
That guy tried to jump-start using a 12-volt battery but no response. The engine start button light was flashing and the front main light turned on but everything else was dark. No response on the dashboard or side panel.
I called the dealership again and they asked me to tow the car to the service center.
The car is now towed from my garage to the Ford service center. They said that the technician is not available to look into it and they will let me know what is the issue later today or tomorrow.
They have not provided me loaner car at this time as well.

Sounds like another dead 12V battery. Ford really needs to provide us with a secure mechanical means for entry into the car so that we can open the frunk and get at the 12V if it’s almost dead since the frunk won’t open with the jumpers if the 12V battery is almost dead and the regular doors also won’t open normally in the same state. ??

The dealer will probably not be able to help you. You need to disconnect the 12V battery, then reconnect it and jump start it with a powerful jump pack (rated for diesel engines) to get it going again. If the 12V battery was run completely dead, then it needs to be replaced and the BMS reset.

It's important that the 12V battery is disconnected for 5+ min, otherwise the module that has the glitch will not reboot and the car will not start.

Hi Suhail! I can look into your Mach-E's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

My Mach-E will never see a tow truck or a dealership for anything before that routine you describe has been tried first.

Otherwise known as, reboot the computer before calling for help from the geek squad. ?

The dealership find the resolution that the overnight update was hung for some reason that caused issues with everything dead.
They upgraded by force and resolved the issue.
Very dangerous situation.

So true. Ford ought to provide an audible and readable warning on the IP too when the 12v is getting too low and/or on the verge of failure. Even my humble little Mazda 3 sedan has audible and readable (on the IP) warnings when the car thinks the 12v battery is getting low and could cause problems. If underfunded Mazda can figure that out surely Ford could, don't you think?
