Agreed. What are they worried about... itās not like their share price can drop that much more anyway! Just let us know what it is, fix it and letās get going. This is not the first time Ford have been in this situation. In December 2006 I ordered a Focus CC3 (the hard top convertible). My delivery date was supposed to be April 2007 but they found a problem with roofs seals which were leaking so they had to dealer fix those that had been delivered and stopped production until they had new ones made. I eventually took delivery in the September. The only reason I knew what the problem was because my dealer had 2 that needed retro fitting. Then there was the more recent problem with the Kuga PHEV. Although this didn't directly affect me Ford were still cagey about the problem until they knew that is was a supplier issue and not theirs. If I have a problem supplying my customers with the product that they have ordered I'm upfront with them and I expect to be treated with the same respect. Ford, I'm afraid, are losing that at the moment. Not enough, yet, to pull the plug but I am keeping a close eye on things. I am prepared to cut them a bit of slack because given the situation I think they have done a not half bad job.I am still optimistic that things will be done and dusted soon.
However, Iām not sure Iām going to be happy waiting any longer than May for delivery... not when I ordered in January last year and have already had to extended my current lease. I canāt extended it past June. Iāll probably have to look at another lease... maybe on an ipace or e-tron, and maybe see you guys again in 24 months... hopefully with a GT!
