My 2023 Mach-E is due for its 10K tire rotation. I plan to take it to the local Discount Tire. When I made the appointment I asked if they have rotated tires on Mach-Es before. They said they did. Then I asked if they had pucks they could use at the jacking points. The representative said that they do have pucks but that they don't need them on the Mach-E because they have some kind of a special lift. (I don't remember exactly what he called it.) What should I do to make sure that they don't damage the battery pack when they rotate the tires?

Make sure that their lift is positioned under the 4 lift points. If they don’t use pucks, the lift pads either need to be flat and padded or have locator pins that fit into the holes at the lift points. ??

I agree with Steve here. I always follow the car to the service bay and make contact with the technician before they begin any work, making sure they properly follow Ford’s guidelines and my instructions. I stand at the service bay door the entire time they are working on the car. They are always receptive and nice about it. That being said, rotating tires is something I do for myself at home. It saves time and is less stressful.

Same. I got it down to less than 45 min including cleaning the studs and center bore. But the initial investment is pretty steep. I do it because I switch between summer and winter.

This is something I hadn't considered (special attention to lifting due to the battery pack). Thankfully there's Mach-e and Tesla all over here in Vegas, and especially on this side of town where my nearest and trusted Discount Tire is located. These are all good points and reminder to touch base with them when having my first rotation done.

The skirt on my old car was notorious for being damaged due to inattentive techs on the lift, so I always made sure to take pictures of the car before walking in. Worse case at least the resulting claim/law suit would be more cut and dry with the before pics.

+1 on this. I have a set of pucks I keep in the car I have handy to hand to the person doing the rotation... fortunately EVs are popular enough here that on recent visits they already knew the drill... that wasn't the case a few years ago.

Just got my car and I bought these pucks that will live there permanently. Hopefully it'll make it easier to identify, and harder to break...

I've taken a mach e twice to discount tire. They used pucks when they lifted my car. I would hang around and watch them tho. But they were very thorough and both times were a good experience.

Same, I’ve used Discount Tire for my last set of tires a couple months ago. They use pucks and have dealt with Mach-e’s in the past,, at least mine near by knows what they’re doing
