If your extended warranty is a Ford ESP, I’d expect it to be covered. If it’s 3rd party, all bets are off.

I would ask for clarification as to why it is not covered under the warranty. You may need to contact Ford’s ESP program and have them review the repair order. Often service departments will try to pull stunts like this because billable rates for warranty work are low. Often half or less what their normal billable rates. And if their service department is busy they don’t want to cut into their higher billing.

I got door fault service required for the second time at the beginning of last September. I have been pushing OK ever since as it has been in 15 times for service and does not have 20000 miles on it yet. Little bit fed up of how many times in so pushing OK until 20000 service. Hoping they do not charge me for a repeat of something that they said they already fixed once. I wouldn't say that will be in out of character from what I have seen to date. I also took their extended warranty first time ever after seeing what I had bought it was a no brainer.

What specifically are they wanting to order?

Is it something that fits in these categories?

they said RR Door module...
The right rear door module is referred to as the DCMH module.

It's also the door latch.

So they're saying the door latch isn't covered?

After my HVBJB job and a service my right rear door catch faulted that never did do so before.

Cost me around £600.

Ouch!

I had no extended warranty but had built up some goodwill because I have my car serviced every time it’s due and other times when it’s not, at the dealer so got a contribution from Ford ?

yes, that' what they said... RR Door module is not covered under 1000+ components.
Well, that's going to make me think hard about getting an ESP for both my car and truck before my normal warranty runs out if that's the case.

They told me that I could purchase within the first year with no premium increases. I waited 11 months and after my rocky start purchased it. If this repeating problem now costs to get it fixed that will be the third strike on Ford for me.

Both times the doors work fine not to sure what the fault is? Does not lock? First one took 2 service visits.

Invoice: remove and replace door actuator and completed pmi found fault still present, completed replacement of latch assembly and completed pmi and test completed.

Already inconvenienced and fixed once under warranty should be fixed again under extended? Guess we will see.
