So, is the consensus the OEM tires still the best all season EV tire for this car?

It's probably fair to say, the manufacturer spec'd tires are probably the best "all around" choice for a wide range of driving conditions, but if you prioritize a particular subset, there may be better choices.
Definitely false in most cases. OEM tires are usually poorly rated.

I went with the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus Elect on my GT. I ended up with no change in range, and a more quiet ride. The stock tires don't have the noise deadening foam inside, and these do.

Yeah, these are the tires I'm going to switch to for the second set. Mostly because the OEM primacy EV tires weren't so great on the snow even with AWD and all the weight.

Plus Elect or Plus 3 Elect? And maybe off topic, but anyone know what's the difference between those? Google isn't giving me anything useful.

I read once that OEM tires are often chosen based on the best price the OEM can negotiate for a tire that provides reasonable all around performance. So if you are looking for a high performance tire, I wouldn't expect the OEMs to necessarily be "the best," though as others have said, "the best" depends on what you're looking for. Some people are enamored with 50k+ treadlife, some with ultra high EV efficiency, and some with tire performance in terms of cornering grip, braking performance, etc.

For me, I prioritize grippy tires with excellent cornering and braking distance. I also prefer them to be reasonably quiet. I did some research on this maybe a year ago. I remember reading maybe 9-12 months ago someone raving about the then-new Pirelli P Zero E tires which I had planned to look into, though I think they are still Europe-only and available only in limited sizes.

I did write down the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus as one I was highly interested in. They are available in a slightly larger size which still fits my GT rims (255/45ZR20), meet the heavy Mach-E's load and speed rating, and received a very good performance review by Tire Rack editors. About $250/tire from that site.

I'm definitely interested in other high performance all-season tire recommendations if anyone has any.

That was a good suggestion, but unfortunately there wasn't much information. Taking it a step further, their website doesn't show either the Plus Elect or Plus 3 Elect available in 225 /55 R19 ?‍♂, America's Tire disagrees.
The Plus 3 Elect is their newest high performance all season and basically replacing the Plus Elect. The Plus 3 Elect is available in 225/55/19.

Even when you buy the same tire aftermarket, there is a possibility that it is not the same construction and specs as OEM. Just look up pzeros from tire rack and you will find a German and Mexican made tire with slight variation in specs and slight difference in price. I assume the Mexican made one is what comes optional on the GTs now, but who really knows.

I’ve had the Hankook’s for several months and I’m quite pleased with them. Slightly quieter imo and no discernible range loss.
Same width? If anything it is the width I may change. May step up to a better one also.

Anyone have thoughts about going up to a 245/50?

Going with a 245/50/19 will be ok and will fit fine on your OEM wheels. That is the maximum size (width) you can run on them. Only issue with that size is there is a more limited selection of tires compared to the 225/55 OEM size. If you can find a tire you like in the 245/50 size I would go for it. Also, that size has a load rating of 105 which is higher than the 103 of your OEM's so you can run them safely at 37 psi for the same load rating you need to run your OEM's at 39 giving you a slightly smoother ride. However if you are more interested in range, keep them at 39 or a bit higher.

The Pirelli mentioned in this thread come in a 245 so there is a few.

Do you have 245's? Would be nice to have an estimate of what the range hit is. Thinking wider you should have less slide more grip in corners. I may go with wider 245 when that time comes. They are 0.09" smaller diameter so speedometer is conservative and the side wall is the same (-0.045").

When I want a low rider I will drop them to 35 psi to cruise into town. ;) Coming from a truck at 42 I have no problems with 39 psi or the suspension in this car. Feels solid so far. The long travel stress from the vibration of an ICE is not there so the bumps are minor. It was a bonus to learn how quite and less stressful travel could be.
